Day 16 - Throw away your scale. No, seriously. You can get better information about your health than the number that you see on the scale. That number simply measures the earth's gravitational pull that it has on your body, it really doesn't give you much helpful information. — Instead, go by how you feel. How are your clothes fitting? How's your energy level? These are all much better ways to evaluate your health than the number on the scale. If you're exercising, you may even be gaining muscle as you're burning body fat, and the scale doesn't reflect that change by showing a smaller number. — If you are concerned about losing body fat, I recommend tracking your progress by how your clothes fit, photos you take along the way, or body measurements. These sweet potato boats from @oh_so_zo sound like a great #21DSD snack! Just remember to use a green apple. 🍏 — Opted to forego my plans to workout this morning in favor of a slow, easy morning. These mini sweet potato boats are making this rainy Tuesday a little bit sweeter (without any added sugars of course 💁🏽‍♀️) . . Seasoned sweet potato halves with turmeric, cinnamon and a little bit of coconut oil and roasted skin side up for 40 mins @ 375°. Let cool and topped with cacao nibs, sautéed cinnamon apples, unsweetened coconut flakes, and homemade almond butter thanks to @elliesbest.


What to expect on your #21DSD Day 15: Not. Another. Green. Apple. 🍏 RIGHT?! At the beginning, you may have been excited about being allowed to have some fruit. Now, you may just feel annoyed if you see a green apple, green-tipped banana, or grapefruit. What to do? Expand your meal plan this week.. add in 1-2 new proteins or new cuts, change up the veggies, or even more fun, try a new spice blend. You won't know what new flavors you love until your try them! May I suggest these 21DSD compliant chocolate coconut not-sweet-treat cups! Two recipes below 👇🏻👇🏻 . I started making these treat cups back in 2016 when I first attempted the 21-Day Sugar Detox. And I'm still making them almost 3 years later because they are so freaking good! Having one of these little guys curbs all sweet cravings because they are so satisfying (it is physically impossible to overeat them) and naturally sweet. I will even make these when I'm not "on detox" because they help keep me on track and away from the chocolate chips 🤦‍♀️ . Chocolate Coconut Butter Cups🍫🥥🌰 1/2 cup coconut butter (divided) 2 tbsp cocoa powder Splash vanilla 1 tbsp. Collagen Nut butter . Mix half the coconut butter with cocoa and vanilla. Layer in the bottom of a mini silicone muffin pan. Freeze until set, about 10 minutes. Add small blob of nut butter. Freeze again. Mix reminding coconut butter with collagen and layer on top of the cups. Top it all off with a pinch of salt and cacao nibs. Makes 12. . . Chocolate Coconut Mint Patties🍫🥥🍃 1/2 cup coconut butter (divided) 2 tbsp. Cocoa powder 1 tbsp. Collagen 1/4 tsp. Peppermint extract . Combine half the coconut butter with the cocoa powder and collagen. Combine the other half with the peppermint extract.
