#secretspots_berlin - Bilderkeller at @akademiederkuenste.
Located at one of Berlin's most prominent squares, next door to Brandenburg Gate, our secret spot only reveals itself on a second look. Behind the modern glass facade of the Academy of Arts, there a former coal cellars that have remained from the original building located here. Inside, a series of murals by master students of the academy were discovered in the 1980s and have since been carefully preserved. The murals show unique experimental works made during carnival festivities in 1957 and 1958 and are now open to the public for the very first time! There are guided tours in German language every Wednesday at 6pm and Sunday at 11am. Have a look at our story for more impressions!
