Day 14: Perspective 👁 - Post Sunday morning meal prep I managed to get out of the house for a bit of a Sunday afternoon adventure and ended up at Sydney Town Hall to see the Jurassic Plastic exhibition. Whenever I’m in a town or city, particularly overseas I always look up. There’s a whole other world above the streets full of artistry and architecture. At 2 weeks down of Whole30 I’ve been able to start to look at my life and goals from a different perspective and better understand what’s important and where I want to be, and it’s the little changes to routine that are making all the difference!! Day 13: Temptation 🍞 - Today was the first time I’ve eaten out on Whole30 so the whole complimentary bread basket caught me a bit off guard. I love, love, LOVE bread and when these freshly baked slices of fluffy focaccia goodness was placed in front of me, my heart broke a little. BUT I didn’t give in! Day 11: Skyfit ☁️ - Yay! Skyfit is back!! What is Skyfit you ask? Well, it’s trampoline fitness classes of course! My boyfriend and I are members and try to go 2-3 times a week so you’ll probably see a number of Skyfit posts in my feed #sorrynotsorry 😄. The classes are super fun, high intensity classes that kick your butt! Day 10: Nutritional Yeast 🧀 - What’s the best way to satisfy your cheese cravings on Whole30?? Nutritional yeast of course! Did it satisfy all my cheese needs? Sadly no, but it did a gouda job! Get it? Hehe. Anywho, I topped my cauliflower “mac and cheese” with these golden little flakes of goodness for lunch and when I squinted really really hard it looked almost, ALMOST like parmesan cheese which makes it A-OK in my books. Day 9: Gym 🏋🏼‍♀️ - I was going to go for a run tonight but a massive storm hit so I decided to do a little combo sesh at the gym instead. Day 8: Coyo 🥥 - How good’s coyo?! I’m not good with dairy so I’m all about coconut yogurt and coconut milk. Day 4: Broth 🥘 - Bone broth, it’s something I’ve heard a lot about but sadly I just don’t have the time to make my own, so when I found The Stock Merchant, I thought I’d give it a red hot go! This particular stock base is just bones and water so didn’t taste of much without seasoning, but still, it wasn’t bad. Day 3: Challenge 💪🏻 - So, I’m not a runner, I hate running. I get tired after 30 seconds (or less!) and I can’t for the life of me understand how people enjoy marathons - really guys?! But for some reason, in a moment of either motivation or madness I thought it would be a good idea to give myself another challenge (on top of everything else) and start learning how to run. Sounds weird, doesn’t it? Learning how to run. But you’ve really got to train yourself to push through the tiredness and just keep going. I’ve started running with the 5km runner app. You’ve got to start somewhere right? Day 2: Steps 👟 - It was such a nice day in Sydney today, I decided to get away from my desk and out for a walk. I’m making a conscious effort to keep my steps up throughout the day and have started walking to and from the station on the way to work and on the way home. I’m really enjoying the time to myself and have been able to catch up on a few podcasts. I’ve just started listening to The Dollop and was laughing my way through my laps of the park. Must of looked like a right weirdo!
