For the past 13 years, instead of giving presents to my nieces, I've given them tickets to an adventurous weekend at my house. I'd document our time together and on their birthdays they would get a book of our shenanigans.
Our weekend adventures were always planned with their personal interests in mind. We hiked, explored, picked apples, created spy missions in the park, ice skated, bowled, watched movies, played with the pups, visited all sorts of museums, went to concerts and no weekend was complete until we made art and baked fabulous treats.
It has been tradition I'll treasure always, especially as they grow up and build their own lives.
What about you? Do you have a holiday gift giving tradition that's more about experiences than things? Inspire us! 🐶❤️🌟
