Got my @turnbull_asser ruffles on. Cream spun silk ruffles to be precise, part of T&A’s new evening shirt collection, available now. Not that you only have to wear this in the evenings mind - breakfast works just as well. Thank you @rkzuk for some great snaps.
Kinds of blue. Facing the day in @drakesdiary Japanese chambray shirt (with the new point collar), washed madder printed tie and @scottfrasercollection classic flecked wide legs. Just the ticket. Snaps by @aggietorrance.
Charlton Balmoral boots by @crockettandjones_official. First wear this winter. Getting back into them for a story for the C&J website. Coming soon.
Beating the chill in a scarf my aunt made me going on five years ago. Wool, silk and angora blend, nearly six feet long and mixing every autumnal colour under the sun. Love it 🤘Snap by @jkf_man.
Spotted this two-piece suit in @andersonandsheppard a while back. Now resolved to own a corduroy DB with patch pockets and gauntlet cuffs. Pink, perhaps not. Elephant grey maybe..?
Channeling Miami Vice for autumn. Emerging from a misty Somerset House fountain during LFWM in wool-silk-linen @chester_barrie Kingly VI blazer, @armor.lux Breton stripes in pink and cream, dove grey tropical worsted trousers from @kitblake_london and @cubitts Wilmington frames in terracotta acetate. Great shot @thousandyardstyle.
Today’s the day. Our eighth issue is on the streets at 5pm. We present The Jackal’s first style hack (hint: get into checks this season), our guide to ‘getting louche’ (I’m not joking), and unpick the science behind a duvet that could save your life. Our columnists tackle custard doughnuts, social media protests and the Supreme Court’s failings in our ‘Think Tank’, and I chat Preacher, politics and personal gripes with Dominic Cooper. We also meet Britain’s new boy racer and try to figure out how to feed nine billion people - because someone’s going to have to soon. If you’re not based in London, subscribe via the link in my bio, eight issues for £24. You know you want to...
@crockettandjones_official ‘Lichfield’ wingtip brogue tassel loafers in tobacco reverse calf suede. Anything you can do to a loafer, they’ve done it... #GeekingOut
Back in @poloralphlauren. Digging primary coloured prep for fall, plus mean pleated wide-leg chinos. On point styling, this.
The @astonmartinlagonda Rapide S JPH1. One of one, designed in collaboration with @hackettlondon. Hand-applied bespoke powder blue paint, @foxbrothers1772 flannel interior to match. Highest spec available. It’s up for grabs, if you’ve got a few hundred thou to spend. #Brave
Last shot of summer. Snapped at Pitti by @jkf_man. My own small take on where menswear’s heading. Generous silhouettes, tonal pairings, formal fabrics dressed down: tobacco linen hopsack, silk satin and Ralph Lauren’s signature washed linen/silk twill, which is my new favourite summer cloth. Featherweight, refined and cool to the touch.
Back at @crockettandjones_official yesterday. Don’t get to see enough factories these days. 2,500 pairs a week, standing since 1879, five generations of family at the helm. If that’s not special, I don’t know what is. A closer look coming to our autumn issue, out Wednesday 26 September. Stand by.
One more snap from last week’s getaway. Wearing @ourlegacy’s new season P. X. Shirt in washed navy cupro. Breathes and behaves like silk, but without the fuss. Digging the boxy cut and ‘70s style camp collar. One to button up over rollnecks when it cools down. Patient snapping by @aggietorrance.
