Tonight at the shop we'll be finishing our Ash Ave Comic Book Club long read of Warren Ellis and Darick Robertson's Transmetropolitan with vols 9+10. Per usual, we'll be be meeting at 6 PM. (Also, love the Moebius cover art for the issues in volume 9).

Lots of creepy, skin crawling arrivals from Hollow Press at the shop, works from Tetsunori Tawaraya, Shintaro Kago, Henri Dumas, Spugna, and David Genchi. Really intense work that will likely move quick, so that means you had better get to the shop ASAP to snatch them up.
Really happy to finally have one of Bernie Wrightson’s most stunning projects, Frankenstein Alive, Alive! back on our shelves. Along with Junji Ito’s take on the Frankenstein mythos, this is one of the best interpretations of Mary Shelley’s modern Prometheus. Written by Steve Niles, additional art by Kelley Jones. $24.99.
This massive tome arrived this week, The Books of Earthsea by the Late, great Ursula K. Le Guin, and illustrated by comics legend Charles Vess (artist on the World Fantasy Award winning “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” from Sandman). $59.99, grab it before it’s gone.

I’ve been waiting for this for a while now, Julie Doucet’s amazing 90s underground title Dirty Plotte has a beautiful two volume slipcase from Drawn & Quarterly available this week. A necessity for the shelves of any fan of 90s Gen-X era comics, and required reading next to Eightball, and Optic Nerve.
