I’ve competed in every Q1 Sea to Sky Challenge, an insane 77 floors of well... pain 🔨
This years March event was easily the worst, my marriage had ended weeks if not days prior, I was so stressed that my body shut down, a chest infection took over and I disguised how sick I really was by being a supportive workmate and walking it with them... even in these screen grabs it surprises me how well I’m hiding it!
Fast forward to Sunday 10th of March, 2019 and I’ll be part of a team of 10 that will partake in the Everest Challenge, a gruelling 4 climbs per team mate of the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere, yes a total of 40 climbs!
Check out this years climb via the video in my bio😉☝️ ... remember, you can do it, age is a number and as my Dad has always said, “keep smiling, it keeps the bastards guessing.” Please, no one read into that, I have love for everyone and just think my old mans got some killer sayings 💪😎.
Then, after March... the fun really starts, but that’s another story for another post 😉.
Bit of hide and seek from last week.
So good having @pixbyparso shooting from water now, the guy has taken plenty of amazing land pics and is a bodyboarder himself (coverage in early Riptide’s and Chris Brystron’s retro classic Blast Off video).
Love our water community of all kinds of craft 💗
Team Akileez trip 1998!
That’s 20 years ago... wow 😲
Waves and good times on the South Coast of NSW in between chasing competitions around Australia 🇦🇺... Some great sessions went down in and out of the water... 😎
Many thanks to @f_l_a_m_e_s_m_c for sharing this pic on @vintagebodyboardcollectors 💗
