We had a great weekend in Boston with my brother @nitz.jeff and future sister-in-law @kaitpyoung learning how to ski and eat lots of lobster!

Yesterday we drove through the Rockies and followed the Colorado River most of the way. We stopped to give our respect to Her. . I am in awe of Her power to sculpt the landscape we spent the last week and a half exploring. There's much medicine in the lessons of flexibility and power of the Waters 💧❤️🌟

Yes! Eloquent words that I could not find myself ❤️ . #Repost @pachamama.apothecary ・・・ The Sacred Clown ~The Heyoka ~ Trump . . I want to offer deep gratitude for this moment in our radical history and that includes Trump. . Hear me out... . Most Native tribes had an important figure known relatively as the Sacred Clown. The Lakota called them 'Heyoka', the Arapaho ‘Ha Hawkin’ (holy idiot) & so on. . . These sacred clowns (I will use the word Heyoka) were considered essential to the smooth function of the tribe. . . I remember learning about the Heyoka when I was young & my mom describing it as, ‘’Say someone was taking too much of their share, or acting arrogant, the Heyoka would follow that person around exaggerating their actions to such an extreme level that they were forced to look at their behavior and change.’’ . . The Heyoka was the wise contrarian. They would disrupt, question, exaggerate, teach moral lessons. Also, they were untouchable. . . Now, from the moment Trump was elected I have felt deeply that he was, without knowing it, the Sacred Untouchable Clown brought into power to offer us the reflection we desperately needed to disrupt the status quo. . . This man, truly represents all the deepest wounds that need to be healed : sexism, racism, narcism, greed, the destruction of planet, etc. . . He has done a brilliant job of reflecting back & digging up what has long been rotting in a shallow grave needing to be exhumed and properly put to rest. . . ONE full of year of this Sacred Clown being in office has brought intense awareness to the deeply rooted racism toward our brothers & sisters, sexual abuse & mistreatment of women, absolute disfunction of the political system etc. . . I am grateful, for this is how TRUE change happens. It’s a painful time, but this is what the growth of humanity looks like. We can keep the shit buried or we can dig it up, take a long hard look and make the changes we need in order to THRIVE. . . So on the eve of Trumps inauguration I want to honor this Fool for showing us all that needs healing. It’s hard to love in the face of hate but as the great Dr. King reminds us "Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.

Oh Grand Canyon. How tiny I am to you and how ancient and huge you are. There are no words and pictures don't even come close. It will take me years to integrate all that I experienced. #gratitude #tinyhuman #nowords #pureawe

Mom and I are spending a lot of time just soaking in the amazing, powerful energy of this sacred place. Living amongst the Ancients. #gratitude

Ancient, fossilized Trees! Older than the first dinosaurs! What a gift to sit with these Elder trees. One laying across a valley like a bridge and hundreds of thousands of them throughout the whole park.

Why I love this time of year. The only time of year we have an external natural force giving us space to look deep within. . #Repost @evolutionary_herbalism ・・・ Continually striving upward toward the light means we never grow downward into our own feet, never firmly rooted on the earth, never explore the darkness within and around us, a darkness without whose existence light would have no meaning. . -Stephen Harrod Buhner 🕯
