Day 4 of #RainbowsOfYoga challenge is pigeon/kapotasana. I’m going to be honest. I wasn’t even sure if this was possible until I tried it. And I think it was a pretty good attempt! It’s Day 3 of #RainbowsOfYoga challenge. I want to share the first time I ever tried this pose because every time I’ve done it since it makes me laugh. I attempted to transition into it from wheel, because that’s how I had seen it on Instagram. Well it didn’t end well for me - I fell straight into the top of my head. I should also say I was doing it on my concrete terrace 🤕🤕🤕. It’s Day 2 of #RainbowsOfYoga !!! When I first started yoga, wheel pose was an asana I always wanted to be able to do but was terrified of getting into it. Once I ditched those “what ifs” magic happened. It’s day one of this super fun #RainbowsOfYoga challenge!!! The rainbow is a symbol of unity - unifying heaven and earth. Backbends also stand for unity, unifying flexibility and strength. How many times do you find yourself using the phrase “I am,” I know I use it way too much. I am a yoga teacher, I am an introvert, I am sensitive. I am...fill in the gap. Using label after label to define ourselves doesn’t give us any space to just be. Undefine, give space and watch the magic unfold ✨💫

Saw this on @northernstar_yoga account and was itching to get on my mat and try it out. Thank you for the inspiration!!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Trying to get back into the rhythm of self practice this week as I definitely neglected it a lot the last couple. Setting the intention to get on my mat everyday before I teach ⭐️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Hope you’re all enjoying the weekend. Im very busy...RESTING 😂😴

The best view comes with the hardest climb @yogainspiration ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Sometimes the climb is completely internal. It’s a battle with the voice inside your head that feeds you a stream of constant bullsh#t!!! Just remember that the choice is yours on what you think about. Sometimes it takes the people you trust and love around you to guide you and that voice on a different path. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ At the moment this is has been my practice. The honest truth is that I’ve felt run down and uninspired. But with a little kindness and love I’m coming back up and out the other side. When life gets overwhelming talk to the people you love (that includes yourself) ❤️

The more you identify with the problem the more you strengthen your connection with it. It’s like the more you react to something in a negative way, the more you more you strengthen the negative energy and feelings that arise from it. It is already DAY SIX of #lightyourchakras and to get in tune with your intuition and third eye we chose pincha or it’s prep -dolphin pose! 🐬 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The third eye chakra is the home of our intuition, creativity and divine inspiration.I find I’m best connected to my third eye during savasana at the end of class or in meditation. To really tap into it I focus on the space between my eyebrows and with eyes closed stare in the direction of that space. It is DAY FIVE of #lightyourchakras and to connect with the throat chakra we’ve chosen fish pose 🐠 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ooo me and my throat chakra. We have an interesting relationship, especially at the moment. Let’s just say it takes a lot for me to keep it balanced. I have been told and have come to understand that this is because of being “too polite.” Which is a nice way of saying that in uncomfortable situations I struggle to speak my truth.
