Yesterday I was fortunate enough to race my first ever Cyclocross National Championship in Louisville! It was one of the heaviest courses I've ever raced and the weather was just as wild. I had an absolute blast and finished 12th. The opportunity is something I was extremely grateful for and happy to share with such great teammates and friends I've made across our region. I got choked up driving home thinking about how fortunate I am. I have a loving supportive wife, Allie, who is nice enough to let me play "bike racer" on the weekends. Also, a healthy and beautiful 7 week old baby girl, Max. Not everyone is this lucky and that's not lost on me. This weekend only furthered my love for the sport and I hope to be able to race for many years to come and share the experience with everyone close to me. I'm so jazzed up, I appreciate you all. #CXISCOMING #racehungry

Tour de BROhio Stage 3: The final stage. A slow roll out of Columbus where Alex dropped off shortly south of town. This was all planned, but what wasn't was the lack of headwind. No stage race should ever end in a TT, so we will just call this a 100 mile solo breakaway. It's pretty boring in between Columbus and Cincinnati but luckily my chain felt like it was lathered in hot butter , so the pace was high. (As high as it can be in these situations) As I got further south the sight of familiar roads started to reenergize the race. A run in towards the final climb of the tour, Alp du Kugler Mill, and the following hilly terrain was a bit rough. You definitely work for flat miles and any downhill was greatly appreciated. Nearing the finish I knew my job was done and the call to lead out the sprinters for the stage win was on. Shortly after finishing a celebration with Chipotle and toasts of Rhinegeist were in order. I'm fucking fried. Thanks to Alex, James, Todd and all the others who made this an enjoyable three days. ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ™ #TourdeBROHio
