It's been a longer process getting orders filled after such a eventful summer but I'm happy to report that I'm clocked back in and ready to start creating again! This skirt was especially fun to make as I love working with the bold colors often seen with African wax cotton. @ninilchikpeddler I'm mailing this beauty to you today!
So after staring at my roll of waxed canvas for nearly a year, I finally decided to play with it. The wax comes from bees and the more the canvas is worked the softer and more textured it becomes. Here's what I like the most: you can "reset" the canvas (in other words, unwrinkle it) by using a hair dryer to heat the wax. I decided that these 2 bags were fun representations of a late summer and beautiful fall, what do you think? Should I make more of these?
Dainty on the outside, nerdy on the inside. Fun fact: the inside glows in the dark 🌚🔦🙊👝
Fun fact: my mom asked if I would make her a long wrap skirt for my wedding, using a grey and black fabric we found online together that blended with our wedding colors. I made the skirt in Alaska, shipped it to NY so she could piece together her outfit, and then I hemmed it when she arrived in Alaska for the wedding. She looked amazing in it- especially on the dance floor!!
Sooo it's been a minute since I've posted anything, 'cause we've been a little busy 👩❤️💋👩👰🏽👰🏽
I'll be cracking the ol' whip and getting back to business this coming week, including a drop off to @dosmanosgallery 👗❤️❤️
Hope everyone is enjoying the September sunshine!
Thanks to everyone who came out last night to the First Friday event! I'm getting ready to sell some items through my IG shop, but wanted to take a poll to see which types of items people are interested in. SO: type in the comments what you'd like to see in the @bramble.ak.shop
