I am SO excited about this launch! 👯♀️ Beautycounter has been working tirelessly to create a compostable makeup wipe that is also safe ✔️ and effective✔️ and it’s finally here!!! I personally have already ordered two of these! I love, love my balm but these will be game changing for travel and those extra lazy nights! I may just keep one pack and some face oil next to my bed🤣🤫 Link to shop in bio🙌🏼
"Beautycounter has 30,000 consultants within its network. Given that they are from every corner of the country, these women tend to have diverse political persuasions and personal backgrounds. But 80% of them are drawn to Beautycounter for its social mission, according to an internal survey the company conducted. This activist approach sets it apart from the hundreds of other direct selling brands on the market"- Fast Company
Thanks so much @fastcompany for the awesome write up of Beautycounter’s advocacy work! We are more than a beauty brand, we are a movement.
Costco’s organic selection is 💯‼️ I put off getting a membership because I did not think my family of three would benefit and it’s a hike😜 but I was wrong! The other amazing thing that I could not help but notice was how well organic is marked! Everything organic is highlighted so we were in and out in 30 minutes!
Save the DATE! 🙌
OKAY! This Wednesday night at 8 pm CST I am going to be doing a Facebook Social in my Better, Safer Beauty with Britt Bolen group. You know how I always ask who wants to throw one of these little parties for me? I'm doing one for myself but really for ALL OF YOU and your friends or family that might be interested in learning a little bit about Beautycounter.
Here's how it's going to work. I am going to create an event and all you have to do is say you want to go and then I'll add you. At that point you can add your friends or family that you think might like to learn a bit about safer beauty! Easy Peesy! 🤗Screen shot who you invited to me in the comments below. All of you that invite people will be added to a drawing. I am giving away ALL of my freebies that night but you must be present to win! You AND your friend/family will be added, btw.
Zero (actual) commitment on your part but lots of opportunities to earn freebies! Stay tuned for the event!
Those of you that don’t know me personally, here’s a little peek into my past. 🙃When I was 19 I left the Midwest for the very different Seattle and attended an amazing massage therapy program. I had a desire to learn more about the human body and how we can care for it in a more ‘natural’ way.🤓 You all hear me preach on self care and that means everything from making that dreaded dentist appointment to getting regular massage (and other body work). 💆🏻♀️ Here are some benefits of massage: 👐🏼Serious relaxation (in a world where we are all super tightly wound, this is critical)
👐🏼Pain management and reduction
👐🏼 Physical manipulation of tissues and fluids aid in: digestion✔️ elimination of lactic acid and other cellular debris that’s been trapped✔️ “unsticking” muscles and fascia that bind us up✔️✔️
We had so much fun at Frolic with the Fairies today!
I have been on such a sweet potato kick lately! I love them because they are easy to prepare in advance and can be eaten at any meal or as a snack! Plus they are inexpensive and so good for you! Here’s the cliff notes:👇🏻 They contain Vitamin C which among other things, produces collagen which aids in elasticity and keeps skin looking youthful. 👶🏼 Vitamin B6✔️ helps reduce homocysteine in the body which can lead to degenerative diseases.
High in Vitamin D which helps maintain good energy levels and mood 😱 and also builds healthy bones, teeth, muscles and skin! 🙌🏼 Plus iron (supports a healthy immune system) and magnesium (aids in relaxation as the anti-stress mineral). Need I go on?! No wonder I’ve been so into these gems! Fight cold and flu season and fight winter blues with this comfort food!
They say a woman in red lipstick has the power to change the world. 💄 To that I say YES!
Beautycounter just rolled out this beautiful, bold (and safe!) lipstick as we approach our fifth anniversary and our trip to DC to continue to advocate for change in the personal care industry.
They asked that we post a selfie in our new lipstick to amplify our mission and I thought, where better place to take my selfie than in my daughters bedroom?
I didn’t ever have a problem with direct sales I just didn’t really see myself being a part of the industry necessarily. Then I met Beautycounter. I was so mad at how much I didn’t know that I wanted to be a part of bringing awareness! I wanted to help. To serve my friends and family (and even strangers) in a way that could truly change the way we buy. What we bring in our homes. What we put on our bodies and our kids bodies. What we had we put on our skin matters. It matters a lot. So I chose to bring my little Cece into my selfie because in large part she is why I do what I do. Our children are our most precious gifts and the mama bear in me wants to protect her in every way.
It is personal to ME that any company can slap any claim they want on their package. Claiming it to be free from PEG’s and parabens and anything else that we know to be harmful. It’s PERSONAL to me that it is not required that EVERY.SINGLE. Ingredient need not be listed. It is personal to me that companies don’t have to disclose ingredients because they are “patent pending” or a trade secret (like fragrance). It is personal to me that I HAVE to read ingredients everyday and educate myself because there are virtually no laws protecting us and the few laws we do have are DATED.
This is my why when people ask. Because it so incredibly personal to me. And Beautycounter offers a solution.
