It was a long and tiring day. There were 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. We made marionettes, read books, there were fabulous prizes, knowledge for their brains, points for their houses, loooong talks about making fun of others and chats with parents about work. I answered emails from people all over and cursed (in my head) that flimsy cardboard mailbox that cost 40 bucks from Amazon that won't hold a thing- sitting in my classroom that I shoulda never bought, we played comparing/ contrasting jeopardy and sang Movin' On Up from the Jeffersons during transitions.. and I rolled outta my classroom when it was dark about 5:15pm. What did I do after that? I VOTED! You can too. #teacherlife✔ #civicduty✔ #differencemaker✔
I cannot ignore the beauty of the forest.

A rainy day at Contest of Champions with my Jonah, but I am soooo proud of the season he's had this year with the LHS Band. His first on the drumline and even if they don't make finals today, their hard work every single day has made them winners! Extremely proud mom today! What a way to finish!
Proud of this girl today! Honor Roll and Perfect Attendance. Not pictured: Ellie-Jane also got Honor Roll this 9 weeks. Not too shabby!
This is what a Monday desk looks like on a GOOD Monday.
Lemon slices, orange slices, pomegranate, mint that I grew, Russian sage that I grew, cloves, and a dash of vanilla extract. Simmering on the stove, smelling good and looking so pretty.
My friend Jonina knows me pretty well! She sent me this and I don't even care that Halloween isn't here yet. It's on my porch. Llama!
