The annual Civilex-Conset Golf Day was a great social event for our staff with plenty of fun – how could it not be with over 90% of the participants never having played golf! Civilex’s turbine foundations major works package, contracted to Downer, includes the construction of 61 turbine (20m diameter) concrete foundations that will incorporate 600m3 of concrete and 70 tonnes of steel per foundation. A project milestone was reached at the Murra Warra site with the 31st foundation pour which represents half of the total project pours. // Link in bio.
Welcome to our 2019 graduates!
Selected from a pool of more than 570 applicants, our graduates require no formal introduction having already commenced part-time work at Civilex while completing their degree. From January though, they will embark on their two-year program full time, creating a solid understanding of how different departments – both in head office and on-site – work and collaborate to deliver on Civilex’s diverse range of civil construction projects.

Civilex has been engaged to deliver works for Australia Pacific Airports (Melbourne) at @MelbourneAirport for the development, installation, and commissioning of two dynamic digital signs mounted on new gantry sites. The new signage will provide digital lane allocation on Terminal Drive.

Civilex has commenced works on the Western Roads Upgrade at Dunnings and Palmers Road. Contracted by design and construction lead WBHO Infrastructure - part of the Netflow Western Roads Upgrade consortium also comprising Cintra and Plenary as joint project sponsors and joint SPV managers.
The $1.8 billion Western Roads Upgrade comprises eight high-priority road upgrades with a comprehensive 20-year rehabilitation and maintenance program covering more than 260 kilometres of road across Melbourne’s west. // Link in bio.
Civilex Operations Manager Matthew Gurney joined the company in 2015 as Construction Manager. During this time Matt has witnessed the transformation of the Victorian-based civil construction company rise from a small company with just eight engineers to a company that today employs more than 60 engineers. Matt has had a lot to do with this transformation.
