The process is where we learn. The process is where we build a strong foundation. The process gets us to where we want to be... eventually. lol. . I know it’s tough to wait. To be patient. To live the process the way we need to. But it’s oh so worth it! . Most gooooood things take time. Like how making dinner from scratch and spending a bit of time in the kitchen is way better than any drive through ever. Or how a painting with all its layers and details can take months to complete, and is waaaay better than any paint by number that you get done in just an hour. . Take the time to dig in and enjoy - if not cherish - this process that will lead to amazing things. . Where are you in your process right now?

If Garth Brooks can make a taco pizza... gosh darn it so can I! Lol. . Gettin’ creative with the leftovers tonight! On Tuesday I made tacos.... like you do.... so today we are having pizza! Because done right, it can totally be healthy! 🍕🍕 . Veggie crust (thanks Trader Joe’s), “spicy” cheeee (yay for Tillamook), a handful of shredded kale in the salsa used as sauce. Done and done . Heat. Spread the toppings. Melt the cheese. Enjoy! Pm me for more details or just to chat about pizza.

I wonder what would happen if everyday we wrote down one thing we are thankful to our spouse for. So many times it’s he easy path (and for some crazy reason, the socially expected one) to nag or complain about them. When really. You chose to be with this amazing person for the rest of your life. . Today I choose to focus on the good in our lives. To focus on the little things that are the reason I chose this man as my partner in fun, in sickness, on oaf trips, at concerts, to raise our child with and to grow old with. . I am thankful for this guy. Every day. Even the frustrating ones. ❤️

No one is perfect. No one. Can I repeat that? No one is perfect! . We all have flaws. We all screw up. We all fail. We aaaaallllll do. Promise. Multiple times a day. Yes. Maybe some more then others. But we all make mistakes. . It’s the over all effect or outcome that really matters. Take a workout. Some moves you’ll totally rock at - heart and soul - nailing it every time. And some moves. Some suck. And your form is off. Or your rhythm is off. And ugh. It just feels like hell. The first few times. But the next time and the time after that. Way better! . Planning an event? Guess what? Something will go wrong. Something will need to be switched up. You will have to adjust. And you will! . Making a meal for a loooot of folks? With many dishes? There is a huge possibility you could miss an ingredient. You cold burn something. The timing of one to the other may vary by more than you guessed. But you adjust. You figure it out. You love forward. And guess what? No one will know! No one. They will see your fabulous spread and think you handled all seamlessly without any issues. . It’s a lot like life. There will be issues. There will be problems. YOU WILL SOLVE THEM. you will figure out how to move forward. You get to that next place hat you need to be at. . But here’s the thing. You have to doooooo something to be able to make those mistakes that you’ll learn from. That right. You have to start. Take that first step. Just do it. You will figure it out along the way. . What first step can you take today? Tomorrow? This week? No waiting!

It’s shocking. But. Here’s a little secret... when I’m invited to dinner, I always bring a veggie. Always. . Ok. Sometimes a salad. But truly. This has been a “saving grace” in all sorts of food situations. My wonderful friends and family love sharing meals together. (Yay food!). And they are wonderful home chefs, who have taught me so so much. But, in true American fashion, there are never enough veggies. . I’ve sorta therefore made it my mission to bring them and then they are there just in case. It warms my heart when there are little to no leftovers at the end of the meal. . This weekend I roasted up some Brussels and rainbow carrots to take to a friends house who was grilling up some steaks. Turned out as a great pairing! And I’ll be releasing a podcast on easy roasting this week. Keep an eye out for that! . What are you known for bringing to dinner parties?

Good grief. This lifting program I started this week has got me all sore! . But totally in a good way. Pushing myself everyday. Teaching my progress. And workout on those muscle gainz is a challenge that’s totally different for me. . Second time through this program and I’m kinda excited to see where I can get this time. Upping my weights. Might have to buy some new ones! . One week down. 7 weeks to go. Gatta keep at it. One day. One workout. One lift. One pound at a time. The goal right now is to gain a few pounds of muscle. . What fitness goal are you working on right now?

You ever have those days where you just feel blah? And then it’s followed by a day where you feel aaaaamazing? Yeah. Me too! . I think we all do. It’s nutty how it happens like that though. Like out of the blue. Or maybe every 28 days... either way. Today is one of those days for me. Feeling blah. Feeling tired. Feeling a little bloaty. And a little down on myself too. . I find these days (bloating aside) happen less when I’m feeding my soul as much - or more! - than my belly. But. Today, I need your help! What do you do to get back in gear. To refocus and move on?

Last week, here in the states, we celebrated Thanksgiving. So yummy. So much family time. So many leftovers! . It’s a week later and I’m still working through them all. (I hate throwing away food!) one of the absolute easiest things to do is to make sandwiches from the turkey. And it’s one of my fave things too. (Deli turkey can be so dry). . Yesterday, I chopped and pan warmed up some turkey, mixed it with pickles, mayo and mustard. Layered a little cheese on either side of the bread and grilled them until the cheese was melted through. . On the side, I halved a good couple handfuls of plum tomatoes and chopped a firm avocado. Added in a little jalapeño juice, EVOO, lime salt and sesame seeds. Served that over well chopped arugula. . What’s your fave way to make a salad and sandwich? . Ps. As challenging as moms life can be, moments like this make it all worth it. ❤️📖 . We still battle (as my hubby calls it), but there have been so many more sweet moments it’s all worth it. . Changing with the seasons of life is needed. I never thought I would be a girl who lifts. But when one of your fave trainers comes out with a lifting program... you gatta dive in and try it right? . So freakin glad I did! I found a new love of weights. A new strength I didn’t know I had. And was proud of myself for finishing a full 8 week program. . Super excited to do it again, and it’ll take me into the new year. Simple. Ha. Sometimes that is easier said than done right? Yeah. For sure. . I am determined to make this my holiday mantra though. I want to spend more time enjoying this year than stressing this year. . Starting with making a “less commitments” vow. So many times we try to get time with eeeeeeveryone. Going everywhere. We spend all that time traveling. Ugh. So. Less commitments. Step one. . And actually. That might be it. Well. Maybe not. Step two is simplifying my decoration plan. In past years my home has looked like thanksgiving and Christmas threw up in here. This year. I am simplifying the decorations. Going minimal. Less set up. Less clean up. . How will you keep it simple?
