I’m pretty impressed with this vegan gluten free vanilla cake that I made, recipe from @minimalistbaker. The strawberries and sprinkles were my personal touch. I love to cook but I’m not much of a baker. It was so easy to follow, under 10 ingredients. No butter, eggs, or oils. The texture was fluffy and it tasted perfectly sweet. #minimalistbaker #🍓🍓🍓

We were eating carbs all day and all night. This is how we normally eat. We eat a lot of veggies, fruits, legumes, potatoes, rice, pasta. No dairy.. cheese.. or rotted animal on our plates.. and everything we ate just flushed right out. It’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle and I’m so happy to see the world is evolving. Budapest has so many vegan options, and I’m beyond supportive for anyone who is trying to incorporate a plant based lifestyle. Even if it’s one day of the week. It’s a start.

Some of my fav pics from our honeymoon trip, esp the last one with the full moon. 🇭🇺🇭🇺🇭🇺 If you want to visit Europe, def add Budapest to your list. It’s one of the most beautiful cities in the world. There are so many architectural wonders, thermal baths, mountains, rivers, and it’s incredibly romantic esp at night. It’s safe, clean and most importantly, they have amazing food. It’s also a second home to me as most of my relatives live there. I can fully understand Hungarian but speaking it isn’t as fluid. After a few weeks of being immersed, I can get right back into it. 🇭🇺 #visithungary #ishouldbetheirspokeperson

In 13 days we walked a total of 160KM in and out of Budapest. Some ppl say if you want your relationship to be tested, travel. Michael and I never travelled outside of the country together and I can honestly say it was great. We’re both easy going and open to ideas. I’m not a big planner when it comes to travel (there’s no schedule, no wake up times.. ) and so we usually decided morning of what we wanted to do. We carried snacks and picked vegan restaurants during our morning coffee/tea. 🍔🌮🥪🍕🍝🍜🍨🍷 So if you’re wondering how we got away with eating everything... just walk 160k.. #andyouthoughtiwasdonepostingmyBudapestpictures.. #notheystillcomin.. #📸

It’s our 1 month anniversary as husband & wife! The last 4 weeks have flew by and I have moments where I think, oh yeah.. I’m married! I haven’t changed as a person, or my lifestyle. He respects my space and my independence as I do with his and I think that is so important. I am so thankful that he walked into my life (literally!) almost 2 years ago. I never thought I would’ve met someone this way. 💖🌟💛

The vegan options in Budapest was incredible. They’ve definitely expanded their bakeries and restaurants and offered a variety of choices. Swipe right ➡️to check out my recs for some classic desserts!🍦🍨@gelartorosa_budapest has the best gelato ice cream, located across from St. Stephen’s Basilica. Aside from the fruit flavours, the chocolate was also vegan. For Hungarian baked goods, #FillGood was super fresh. They’re located on the Pest side right off Margit híd. Their pogacsa is a classic Hungarian treat which is a small round scone usually served warm. We went back 3x. 🤤The Hungarian fried bread, Lángos is a massive fluffy bread with diff toppings to choose from (usually cheese or sour cream, but the garlic spread was V.). M’s fav. The last pic is of a chimney stack cake, kürtőskalács, usually made with milk and eggs but you can find vegan ones. 🍷Wine is really cheap to buy so we may have bought a few bottles.. 😌#weateeverything #wealsowalked160kin13days

The one place you must go if you’re visiting Budapest is the Széchenyi thermal baths. It is the largest medicinal bath in Europe and it’s open year round. There are a variety of pools with natural hot spring waters set at different temperatures. I jumped into every pool but the saunas were way too hot for me. I don’t know how ppl sit in them! I can’t handle the heat, I melt.. 💦💦

This was one of my fav pics from Budapest. We stayed at my gram’s flat right downtown Buda. (The Danube river splits between Buda and Pest). She actually broke her hip the day before we arrived so she was at the hospital for a week. When my brother visited a few years ago, she broke the other hip.. #nomorehipstobreak #budapest #hungary🇭🇺 #visegrád #honeymooners #familytravel

We are back from our two week trip to Budapest! I have so many pictures to share so I will have to back track and post. For those of you who’ve been following me on instastory, you’ve seen most of our trip! I may post a sneak peek wedding photo just until our pics are ready. 🌸 Hungary is 6 hours ahead so I fell asleep early and started work at 7AM. 2 hour head start and I’m thinking, ok ok I can do this everyday.. be an early riser.. but les be real, I’m a true night owl.. this won’t last.. #🦉

I totally thought this was an albino duck.. no no it’s a BABY/TEENAGE SWAN. I’ve never seen one before!

I get to marry this babe THIS WEEKEND! I’m a bit anxious to be honest as we’ve never orchestrated a big personal event but excited at the same time. I tend to focus on minor details but I had to learn to just chill. I’ve surprised myself (coming from a perfectionist) how flexible I’ve been. It was hard at times and I had moments where I was like, THAT’S IT. I’m outta here... but in a Jerry Seinfeld kind of way. I always came back 😌. I’m so thankful that I have friends who put things into perspective and supported us along the way.. *go gets mic* and especially thankful for my future husband who’s been so calm and positive throughout. 🙌🏼#wkdweddingherewecome

We went to @vegandalefestival on Sunday and I was so happy to see how much it’s grown! I attended the opening 4 years ago and it was maybe 3rd of the size as it was this past wkd. It’s only going to continue to expand! ➡️Swipe to see some of the delicious food! @mythologydiner @vegan.outlawzfood

We took the ferry to Ward’s island yesterday and walked by this hidden little house. There were many cute lil homes secluded, away from the hustle of the city, with minimal reception, and the vibe was peaceful. I’m curious to know the kind of people who live here as each home was so original and interesting. I wonder what made them choose this unique lifestyle..

We had an amazing dinner @mythologydiner. It’s been on my list for so long and we finally got to experience it. We ordered a bunch of items off the menu. Pictured here is the double bacon cheese burger. I highly recommended. The squash Mac & cheese dish was also really tasty. We received a free ice cream pancake and Vegandale tickets as we spent over $20 on our mains (I clearly ordered two mains..). Wkd special. Thx @dougmcnish!

Bike ride to Port Credit. 50KM. Hot, humid, amazing. I find that #Toronto has the best bike paths esp along the waterfront. I’ve never really had issues biking in the city or outside, except for the odd road rager. My fav route is along the lakeshore path. 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️💨💨💨

The triathlon peeps! I used to train and race a few years ago and I loved every moment of it. I had to slow down as I had bad knee issues. I figure skated for 10+ years of my life and I was always a runner. The impact of the ice and cement eventually caught up! I’ve done physio, acupuncture, and everything in between but they’ll never be the same. I still run but I limit my distance and I want to run in my late years so I have to maintain. 🏊‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️💨💨🚴‍♀️
