Well officially his first thanksgiving was at Grammys, but I didn’t have his stickers. So last Thursday when we made a turkey at home I figured we should document something! Safe to say he enjoyed himself!
So thankful to have this perfect little man in my life. He is the most amazing little blessing. My reason for smiling and everything I do.
I’m pretty sure he is thankful for the turkey dinner (especially the sweet potatoes) he gobbled like crazy today at Grammys!
Here’s a few highlights from our trip to Kelowna in no particular order! I’ll post some more soon! Hudson flew for the first time (obviously) and we learned that he is a PRO traveller. No issues on takeoff or landing, a little restless on the long flight (we took 3 flights both ways, 4 hours from TO->Hali). He tries lots of new foods at Aunties, pollock and blackberries are pictured here! I think I may have been WAY more excited than him about the kangaroo farm and GETTING TO HOLD A JOEY but he had a good little visit there too! Grammy bought him some cool toys while we were there, (can’t visit Kelowna and not get an ogopogo!) but his favourite new toy is.... a coffee sleeve! Hudson got to meet his Great (great?) Auntie Jean, his great auntie Mariah, and his (2nd?) cousin Nick - who I also met for the first time! Picture in the next post - it was definitely a big adventure and we had tons of fun!! I think we both need a nap now though 😴
This BC air has been great for my hair! #explorebc
He’s not as excited about the perfect backdrop as I was!
Hey mom, whatcha got there!?
This is SO late 🙈 Hudson was 7 months on the 9th, I took this photo like a week later and it took me even longer to edit it... he’s getting SO busy. We finally got the baby gate blocking the pantry and stairs, he’s not crawling quite yet, but he’s getting close and he can get around pretty fast with his army crawl! He LOVES mealtime, and will eat anything you give him but he is his mama and daddy’s boy for sure because this boy loves his meat! He even managed to rip a big chunk off of a pork chop all on his own the other day 😳 there’s still no teeth, though he’s had some teething symptoms on and off so they’re coming!
Just wrapped up a lovely afternoon at the zoo! Hudson was even more attentive than last time! The overcast, and cool weather made for the perfect outing and lots of animal activity!
I love living so close to the zoo and look forward to many more visits as Hudson grows up!
We really did have lots of fun in the citrus bath! Though he may have given me the “mom, why are you making me do this” face more than once...
I love the fun bright colours from this shoot! Hudson really is the best model, and this was tons of fun because he loves water, and exploring the citrus slices was something new for him to try!
Huge thanks to @melissdevo for snapping these of my lil cutie when we were out for our walk the other day!
Watermelon baby 🍉
Today was a perfect day for a mini hike! And I think the salt air did us all some good!
#Naptime is something I struggle with, because: • it’s the easiest time to get things done around the house • I’m tired too and though I don’t like to nap I do like some “down time” • he’s so dang cute I wanna stare at him the WHOLE time
Even if they’re not always the most flattering (see the 3rd picture) I am so grateful that Jon makes an effort to take pictures of Hudson and I while he is so little. I’m usually not wearing any makeup, my hair is tied back and I’m in my sweats, but Hudson doesn’t care. And I know one day I’ll be so grateful to have this little moments captured ❤️
On another note, little man seems to finally be kicking whatever bug got him down this weekend. He’s still a bit grumpy, but I’m pretty sure that’s because none of us slept well last night, but his fever is finally gone and he’s on the mend!
So it needs some work, but it was getting dark and she was all the way down the field! But since this mama and her little ones seem to hang out at the back of the yard I’m sure I’ll have plenty of opportunity to perfect my technique / sneak up a little closer!
