Please ignore the legs in the background, and focus your attention on the beauty of this ice cream! It’s a scoop of burnt butter caramel on top of a toasted marshmallow cushion. It’s definitely sweet, but so worth the calories. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Burnt Butter Caramel & Toasted Marshmallow

Hoppers are a Sri Lankan dish of a crepe-like base with a fried egg in the middle. They’re paired with side dishes, like seeni sambol (onion relish) and pol sambol (coconut relish). It’s hard to find authentic hoppers, so the restaurant name should assure you that here they’re legit. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Egg Hopper Seeni Sambol Pol Sambol

Finally came to try out Nishi! We got a ton of dishes, but here are the two pastas we ordered. The pork tagliatelle was flavorful and light. And the ravioli was interesting - it was filled with ricotta and topped in a chili and honey sauce. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Pork Tagliatelle Ricotta, Chili Honey Ravioli

Such a cute find in the West Village. The grilled octopus comes with squid ink and pea coulis; the octopus was tender and just crispy enough on the outside. The mushroom flatbread is a must! It comes topped with arugula, truffle oil and balsamic vinegar - what could be better?! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Pieuvre Grillée Fougasse Forestière

One can never have enough cheese! Cheese it up with the Jambon Cru, which is raclette over ham, dijon and onions on a baguette. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Jambon Cru

I was a little hesitant to try, but it’s well worth it. All pastas are under $10 and taste amazing! We got the pesto fusilli and meat ragu rigatoni; both were cooked perfectly al dente. And because two pastas aren’t enough, we tacked on eggplant parmigiano and garlic dots. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Pesto Fusilli Meat Ragu Rigatoni Baked Eggplant Parmigiano Garlic Dots

Happy weekend, y’all! This means drinks, so check out the cocktails here. We stuck with more of the fruity/flowery flavored ones that had grapefruit and elderflower. Second round was fun - the drinks came in a pretty tea set for an adult tea party! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Grapefruit & Friends Cucumber & Elderflower Spritz South Village Tea Party

Obviously had to have ice cream on #NationalIceCreamDay! Here you have the option of having scooped ice cream or popsicles. I opted for this season’s blueberry & Maria cookie. As the name suggests, it’s a vanilla base with frozen blueberries and bits of cookie, which was so good! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Blueberry & Maria Cookie

Only managed to get a picture of two out of the three pizzas, cause the hunger kicked in. All the pizzas have fun names - pictured here are the Ricotta Be Kiddin Me and Hellboy. The first is a white sauce with ricotta, bacon, and sausage. Crowd favorite was the Hellboy, which was topped with pepperoni and hot honey! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ricotta Be Kiddin Me Hellboy

Bing waiting for @junzikitchen to open their Bleecker location, and they finally have! The soft opening menu featured lots of goodies: tomato pork noodles, jiajiang fried chicken (pictured here), and pork & scallion bing. This is a definite must-try to either create a noodle bowl or bing! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Tomato Pork Noodles Fried Chicken Pork Bing

Happy #pride everyone! You gotta come prepared with an empty stomach here cause there’s a lot to choose from. The dumplings are a must - fillings are all good and the bottoms are crispy. The elote was sweet and soft but could have used more chili. And what can go wrong with mozz sticks?! The teas were interesting; you can mix tea bases with natural sweeteners. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @maosbao: Chicken & Pork Bao @the_base_co: Raspberry Charcoal & Hibiscus Tea Elote (with Mayo & Cheese) @bigmozz: Mozzarella Sticks

This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants - both the food and decor are on point. Two of the many dishes we got were xiao long bao and dan dan noodles. In a lot of restaurants, the dumpling skin is too think, but they get it right here. And the noodles have just enough spice, which prepared us for more spice to come! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Xiao Long Bao Dan Dan Noodles

Oiji is a must visit! They do a modern take on Korean food. The oiji bowl was my favorite - it’s seaweed rice with sea urchin and shrimp. We also got the homemade tofu (topped with roe, trout and kimchi) and fried chicken. For dessert, we had the signature honey butter chips, which paired perfectly with vanilla ice cream. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Homemade Tofu Fried Chicken Oiji Bowl Honey Butter Chips with Vanilla Ice Cream

This is a great brunch spot if you’re able to snag a table. They have an $18 prix fixe brunch for an entree and juice/coffee; we got the grilled chicken sandwich and corned beef hash. I had the sandwich, which came with arugula, guacamole, jalapeño and bacon. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Grilled Chicken Sandwich Corned Beef Hash
