It has almost been a year since I opened this account but apart from talking about food and diet, I have rarely shared other things about myself..
I have been wanting to talk about other aspects of my journey for a while now, and I guess today is the day I tell a little!
👉🏼Endo has been tricky for many years, but to get where I am now (in control of my body and pain) I had to change not only my diet, but my lifestyle.
I guess the pain I felt for years made me avoid any kind of physical exercise, thinking it would just make me feel worse...
One day - tired of "feeling constantly sick" - I started working out and surprisingly, the more I trained, the less tired I felt.
Training, stretching and feeling flexible have been key to reduce my pain. Pole has been my biggest motivation for the past two years and recently I started doing yoga, which challenged me a little more.
*While it might sound illogical to exercise when you are in pain, I found out that for me it has become a pain reliever..
I know different initiatives, diets and exercises work different for each of us. But whatever it is, I encourage each of you to find your way and best treatment.
We have to be our own advocates, because there is no doctor or person who knows our body as good as ourselves.
