I read recently how many claims ACC have had since introduction of the Lime scooters, be interesting to know how many were doubled up like this? I blurred their faces for privacy.
My lovely wife got me the XCD120mm lens for my X1D for Xmas and one of the things I wanted to do more of now that I have a mid range Tele was panning. I thought I would head to Queen & Wellesley and see if I could get some interaction between pedestrians and scooters. Love the abstract look of pannning.
LE of vehicle looks more spectacular if they are are turning.
Some days you get lucky and a ambulance drives past. Distinctive colours and love the way the yellow centre line merged with the flouro yellow of the ambulance. A nice fluke.
I thought I better look for a long exposure pic with some seasonal lights. My wife always loves these lights, @ipadlettering
It’s not often you can see your partial reflection in a vehicle driving by. It was close to my tripod. 🙄
I just got setup in time with this one. Could only get it as it passed me which become a bonus because of the reflections of the sky City logos only the bus. Very cool. Also the church looks very gothic in BNW, which adds to the drama.
I have mentioned before I love orange, but I also love all bright colours. Some nice aqua and blue in this one. Some of you may wonder why BNW and Colour? Well I love BNW, I see most Pic’s in BNW but I love bright colours so the best way to stop FOMO in my photography is to combine them. Would love to know what you think of my combo style. Should I make them mono only or colour only?
This is a bus parking spot on Wellesley Street East. I like two things about this pic, one is the parked bus has the Not in Service sign on which shows up in middle of trails, and the second is that the same sign on the passing bus judders on the uneven road and the light trail shows up a individual lights rather than a solid trail. Very cool.
Those who know me know that orange is my favourite colour. So there is always a little bit of pressure to have the exposure correct when the occasional orange bus rolls by. Out front of Auckland Uni on Symons St this morning. Nice morning which turned into a crap day.
With the weather being sh$t this morning I am glad I went out last night. This is the bus lane under the Vic Park flyover.
This one is a little funky. A long exposure of a bus moving a long Queen Street, reflected off the facade of Mid City and shot with a Tele from my deck in Lorne Street. Simple.
This one looks like an accident waiting to happen. Crossroads.
Grafton Bridge is a good spot for big vehicles in a tight space. Today I got really close to the kerb and shot as the bus passed me heading away from me. This one has a little bit of Joseph’s technicolour dream coat about it.
I am in Christchurch this week for my sons wedding. Went out early to see if I could find anything moving and lucked upon this train in Riccarton.
For those who prefer a little more substance and a less ghostly feel. 3 buses in front of the Iconic Civic theatre.
Sometimes you just have to go with full colour cos it looks better. Double decker bus in front of Auckland Art Gallery.
