I’m so lucky to work for a company that stepped in and put my family in a hotel. We are currently staying in Fort Walton Beach until we figure out a game plan. The commute sucks due to the crazy traffic coming in and out of PC, but the peace of mind knowing that the kids ( & cat ) are good is worth it.
Thanks for everyone that has reached out.
Can we take a moment to thank these awesome humans who are taking time away from their families and loved ones to help us rebuild our community one power pole at a time? True heroes. :
This was the night before Michael. With Irma we bought a cake and Soph wanted to ride out the storm with a red velvet. Little did we know we would be living out of a hotel and everyone’s lives would be turned upside down. But looking at these pictures from before makes me a little happy. So I’m posting them.
Yesterday. The day I’ll never forget. Was determined to keep Keto despite the hurricane coming. Disposable plate because...less dishes. Today....I don’t even care. My pictures of food seem silly to me when there’s so much loss around me. Me heart is heavy. :
