Burney Falls • 129 ft. high • 22 ft. deep • 100 million gallons daily
Capping off this trip with Burney Falls. 😍
I couldn't ask for more. 😌
First 2018 stamp on my National Parks Passport; first trip to Lassen Volcanic National Park. Onward! ❄️🏔😍
Hop onboard the Afterlife Express
The clearest day. If only the trails were clear too. 😆
Pre 2018 catch-up with the Posts! 🍻🍺
Happy Noche Buena to all, and to all a good night!
I didn't think I would squeeze in another JTree trip before the year was over. When @dagsperez said she wanted to camp, I couldn't pass up the chance to take her to the place I always fail to eloquently describe. Along with @i.rose.c , rain, shine, high winds, sunset and sunrise... here goes 2017's fifth and final Joshua Tree trip! 😍
@stephgferrer@dagsperez Kasi hindi kayo pang stories lang. To infinity... and San Ysidro outlet mall!!! 🤣🚀 @ciceroferrer bawal mo na kaming iwan! 😂 P.S. Check out last weekend's sunset. •
Happy Birthday to this funny girl. I love you, mom! Miss you still.
Sunday, November 12th -- 7 in the morning, all smiles at 9,100 ft. while eating reconstituted food and drinking instant coffee. By 10, we packed up camp and began our hike up to the Mt. San Jacinto summit. Slowly but steadily, and with lots of encouragement from the hiking community, we reached 10,834 ft. at 3:30pm. We started our descent at around 4:45pm, and were back at the tram station by 8pm. Cactus to Clouds and all its 23 miles in the books! 😅😅😅
😂 Not pictured: Having trouble finding our campsite in the dark; my stopping every couple of yards and saying, "I'm done, I'm sooo done"; jell-o legs; passing out wherever possible; @i.rose.c 's superhuman strength.
Friday, November 10th -- At 10
in the evening, we started the first part of our trek up the Skyline Trail toward the Palm Springs Aerial Tram Station. We hiked through the night into Saturday afternoon; taking naps as needed, catching the sunrise, and feeling desert temps rise as the day went by. Elevation gain of 8,000 ft. for the first 12 miles. Special thanks to @ikkingorawr for meeting us (@i.rose.c ) at the tram station with our camping gear!
