@dovhadze 😊 How would you describe your style of photography? Deconstruction and collage manipulation of images in order to reject the real meanings and objective shapes of the real world by using abstraction, collage, the presence of β€˜accidention’ in photography or fragmentation. For monochrome photos I use mostly the reverse method by transforming them from one state to another, in detail - I get new images from my own videos and photos by reshooting them in different ways with different options 😊 Be sure to check out the full interview on our website ☺️ #hippomag 🌴

@dovhadze 😊 Would you mind introducing yourself? My name is Viktoriia Dovhadze. Currently live in Lviv, Ukraine. Before I started my artistic practice I was studying German at University. I use photography as the main medium in most of my projects in order to demonstrate and explore the existence of other visible and invisible realities, to make the hidden more accessible 😊 Be sure to check out the full interview on our website ☺️ #hippomag 🌴

@miriamiervolino 😊 Which time of year is your favourite for taking photographs? Every season is precious. I live in Sicily and the landscape is always wonderful at any time of the year. Like all Sicilians, I love the sea. In summer I use an underwater camera. It's hard to explain, but to me, the sea is a state of the soul. After the summer, I really like autumn. The colours of nature are stronger and more contrasted 😊 Be sure to check out the full interview on our website ☺️ #hippomag 🌴

@miriamiervolino 😊 What inspires your photography? The first things that inspire me are my thoughts, my dreams, and my feelings. I am a very emotional person, and everything I do comes from myself. Then there is the desire to always do better. I would like to do more. I would like to know myself better and everything around me. Photography is necessary for me, to feeling well. I need photography to express things I can't communicate with words 😊 #hippomag 🌴

@miriamiervolino 😊 When did you first fall in love with taking photos? I fell in love taking pictures when I saw my grandfather taking family pictures. He has created a collective memory, the narration of our history. Like an archive, a love archive. For this reason, I really love family photos. I think the best photos are the random ones. Those describing a feeling, a special moment and memory. I want to express this in my photography. I'm a nostalgic soul 😊 Be sure to check out the full interview on our website ☺️ #hippomag 🌴

@miriamiervolino πŸ™‚ Would you mind introducing yourself? My name is Miriam Iervolino. I have lived in Sicily since I was born. I live in the historic city centre of Palermo. I'm currently working as a graphic designer in a print lab where we use both digital and screen printing. For me is hard to describe my style. I used to work with pasting and with film cameras. I have two different approaches to photography and pasting. To me, photography is related to the people I photograph, and the intimate relations involved. It is a narration of my life, my thoughts, and the people I love. That's the reason why I like to use film cameras - because they are closer to reality than digital. To me photography is my favourite method of communication, sometimes I think my photos are like postcards without destinations. When I create collages, it's different, as with them I want to create a blissful harmony between two different images. The result is a new image, with a new identity 😊 Be sure to check out the full interview on our website ☺️ #hippomag 🌴

@aitorrodrigo 😊 Are there any tips you would like to give to anyone out there who would love to create similar style photos to yours? My advice is to get out of the bed and discover the world. Don’t stay at home like most teenagers, who spend their days playing computer games. I was one of those teenagers at the age of 14, which is something I regret to this day. In recent years, I haven’t stopped discovering places which are so close that we don’t give the relevance they deserve. You will start to appreciate your time and realize that you have missed a lot of it 😊 Be sure to check out the full interview on our website ☺️ #hippomag 🌴

@aitorrodrigo 😊 What inspires your photography? I feel a special love for outdoor locations because they make me see how small we really are. Especially, through photography, I try to capture the moments we should enjoy more and fix in our memory so we may never forget them 😊 Be sure to check out the full interview on our website ☺️ #hippomag 🌴

@aitorrodrigo 😊 When did you first fall in love with taking photos? Actually, I have loved taking photos since I was a kid. During school excursions, I was the typical one who was always carrying his disposable camera and during summer holidays, I used to steal my parent’s camera to take some photos. When I finished high school, I wanted to study something related to this world but because of job and money issues, I decided to start up something completely different. For my eighteenth birthday, my family bought me a reflex (Canon 1200d) and then I started as most people do: taking photos with friends. Since then I've realized how fulfilling photography can be 😊 Be sure to check out the full interview on our website ☺️ #hippomag 🌴

@aitorrodrigo 😊 Would you mind introducing yourself? Hi! My name is Aitor and I’m 20 years old. Since I was a child I've lived in Sant Andreu de la Barca, a village in the surroundings of Barcelona. I try to split my time between my job, travelling, and taking photos 😊 Be sure to check out the full interview on our website ☺️ #hippomag 🌴

@miichaelgreco 😊 When did you first fall in love with taking photos? I first fell in love with photography in my senior year of high school in 2014. I pretty randomly bought a camera from a friend and started taking photos around where I live and of my friends. Then I started to make weekend trips down to NYC which is where I met Karston @skinnywashere who in the beginning played a significant role in me finding and building a love and passion for taking photos. Nowadays we don’t often see one another too much, him being busy and me only being able to take so much of being in the city. I rarely, if ever go anymore - I thoroughly enjoy the peace and quiet of the woods and mountains. We do stay in touch from time to time though which is nice, he’s the most genuine and one of the best people to be around. I’m happy and appreciative for having met him when I did 😊 Be sure to check out the full interview on our website ☺️ #hippomag 🌴

@miichaelgreco 😊 Who/What inspires your photography? My grandfather is a big inspiration to me, just in general even outside of photography. He took photos a little bit through his life, nothing serious and I have a few he took a while ago when he and my grandmother went to Banff. But he just taught me to work hard, never give up and to enjoy life and that’s always inspiring. Meditation too has become a source of building space for inspiration. It’s helped me take a step away from everything and process ideas but more importantly has personally helped me with disconnecting and becoming more present when I need it. I also love watching movies and reading books - I like to pull ideas from what I read or watch. A really good movie is hypnotic, it just draws you in. And with books there’s something different in their ability to give the story a more personal feel - there’s a relationship between the reader and the story. As the reader, you control painting your own picture through the author's words and details. Which is so interesting because the words obviously don’t change, but how each reader pictures the characters, environments and scenes can vary so much. I’m currently on the last book of Larry McMurtry's Lonesome Dove series and if you like westerns or just want an amazing read I highly suggest these books 😊 Be sure to check out the full interview on our website ☺️ #hippomag 🌴
