Do you hate counting #macros? - Me too, but it is sometimes necessary, especially for beginners. - The first few weeks of keto, the weight will fall off extremely quick even if you're not following the #diet properly. - After the first few weeks, usually what happens to most people is they hit what is called the "keto plateau" - Which usually means their macros are off. - This picture is a representation of the ideal macro percentages for keto. - Don't let this discourage you. You don't have to be perfect all the time. In fact you rarely are going to be perfect.. - Once you have been doing this for a while it will be easy to know what to eat and what not to eat too much of. - Good luck and keep burning that #fat

Are you getting enough salt? - On a ketogenic diet, you should be getting double the average amount of salt that the U.S. dietary guidelines recommend. - Nearly 5,000 milligrams of salt per day to be exact. - Not getting enough salt during the early stages of entering ketosis could cause the "keto flu." - So salt each meal moderately! - I don't know about you but I like salt.

Slipped up and ate carbs this weekend? - No big deal just get right back on the wagon. One day of bad eating won't wreck your diet. - If you weigh yourself the next day after eating terrible you will probably have gained 8 pounds. - Don't freak out and completely give up. - The weight gain is just water your body retained. - But if you get back on track, losing the extra weight you put on will only take a couple of days. - Then you can be back to burning fat.

The California burger (avocado bacon and cheese) lots of healthy fat in this meal. - You have to mix it up and find different combinations of things on a low carb diet. - Most people never try to learn new recipes or experiment with cooking at all. - I'm guilty of this myself I tend to eat the same stuff over and over again no matter if I'm dieting or not. - This will lead to failure in the long run because you will feel deprived. - Almost any food you like there is a low carb version.

One week of keto and our guy is down six pounds. - It's not complicated anyone can do it. - He didn't count calories or track his macros. - Just a little fasting and cutting out the sugar.

This was a delicious breakfast yesterday morning. - "Porky pig" 5egg omelette stuffed with bacon, ham, sausage and cheese! Smothered with sour cream and hot sauce.

This was a tasty little treat that had zero carbs. I hope they keep this one. - Keto doesn't have to be hard you can still enjoy a lot of good stuff and lose weight. - Artificial sugar isn't great but neither is being over weight.

Two staples in my diet. - Artificial sweeteners aren't good for you but I have been steadily losing weight and I use these every day. - People will tell you all kinds of stupid things like artificial is worse for you than regular sugar, which may be true. - But one thing I know for sure is consuming regular sugar will not help you lose weight. - Cut the carbs and the "real sugar" out of your diet and you will start losing weight. - I want you to lose weight and not hate your diet. - So whatever makes it easier for you. I encourage you to do.
