Life can be a little draining. But it’s in those moments where we want to quit that we need to sometimes make ourselves push a little harder or hold on for just a little while longer. Never give up and always fight for your dreams. Never let your fear decide your fate!😘🦖🐓💪🚜🌾#littlechestnutcreekfarm#youcandoit#kickass#wearefarmers
Why the cluck is it so damn cold?!?! I thought this was the south!💁🏽♀️ If you’re wondering how my day is going. Well it is colder than a witches tit wearing a brass bra doin push ups in the snow in the middle of January! But the morning chores are done. Oh and if you’re wondering that’s pretty cold for our little part of the world in November. This kind of cold doesn’t really start till January. Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind cooler weather but this with wind makes it a more penetrating type of cold.❄️🌬 But that’s okay I have plenty of coffee and hot tea to keep me cozy☕️😊 How’s your morning going?!?! #littlechestnutcreekfarm#thecluckinwagon#windywednesday
I haven’t painted my nails in 3 years. And what’s the point in having pretty nails when they never last around here?! Anyway I decided I was gonna really dress up for thanksgiving and let my nails grow a little (which I hate btw!) and paint em up real pretty. But I needed some help picking a color so I looked to my girls for inspiration. I guess I made a good choice. I think they’d agree with me too because they kept trying to sit on my hands while o was collecting their eggs. And yes I know it’s a messy manicure but it’s been a long time and it took me five tries and I literally painted my hand and had to do a lot of clean up. Cut a girl some slack y’all lol😂 💅🏽💁🏽♀️🐓🦖 #littlechestnutcreekfarm#isuckatbeinggirly#cantpaintmynails
As Thanksgiving quickly approaches I have been thinking about why I love it so much. Many of you know we are Agnostic Atheists. Have been for about 6+ years now. So many of the holidays are very uncomfortable for us that it’s hard to find the one you like... So I have decided to adopt Thanksgiving as my favorite non awkward holiday.
I love it. The holiday of celebrating harvest and abundance. The holiday where the Native Americans and English Men shared a bountiful feast. It’s a time when hard working farming and homesteading families would gather together and truly appreciate and indulge in a much deserved meal. And boy oh boy do I love me some turkey. I know thanksgiving isn’t much like this anymore, but that’s what we here at #littlechestnutcreekfarm are striving for. Stop buying from the grocery store. Start sourcing your food and or raising it yourself. So this year. Thank the farmer who raised your turkey. Thank the farmer(s) who tended to his/her crop so you could have some delicious veggies to go with that turkey. Thank the chef in your home who spent hours stuck in a hot kitchen preparing that delicious food. And lastly, be thankful for each other and your time together and maybe even share your feast with some who needs a warm meal and loving hug. 🦖🐓🥚🌾🐔🦃🦃
