@lake.e__ is an amazing dancer I photographed earlier this year. I came across her on @zancasting’s feed (who cast a commercial project for me last year and is rad). I didn’t even know she was a dancer when I invited her to the studio. Lake introduced me to a slew of other @alvinailey dancers (@chlvrmntro @r_maurice25 @antuanbyers @mikaylascaife @simplyquisee @alishapeek and more) which sparked a personal project, which then resulted in a big commercial commission that I shot in California last week. (Will share that sometime next year...) Our first shoot back in January was in a studio space that I got on a whim with @vsteves, through which I met @andrew_seg & @ashleybatz, who are all rad and have helped me produce shoots on both coasts this year. Anyway, be open to new connections, shoot more personal work, be inspired, be curious, wake up early, stay out late, have fun and chase cats down rabbit holes 🤷‍♂️ That’s my takeaway from the year 👋

New work in @dwellmagazine this month. A meditation on how walls shape the spaces we inhabit. In addition to the article, the architects have a really thoughtful write up about the ideas behind the project at
