I’m back from my new moon road trip. I picked up a SkyWatcher Star Adventurer before leaving and kept my fingers crossed that I would be able to polar align it without any problems. It took me a few tries but I finally figured it out. This device allows you to take longer exposures of night sky without star trails. This is a 300 second exposure with my 24-70 lens at 70mm. You’re able to set your camera at a lower ISO and capture so much detail. I’m not mad at my first results with this thing at all.
