Mantra singing while playing my ukulele... something I’m really enjoying lately and is giving me so much positive energy.
Giving voice, expressing my voice; it’s so liberating and healing!
People who know me, know that posting a video like this and being so visible (haha yes to me this is very visible already 🙈) on social media is a big step, but I’m feeling a lot of courage and love to do so.
I want to share that no matter how your voice sounds, express it, share it. It’s welcome, you are welcome, you beautiful soul! Thank you Marta @ for the reminder how powerful and healing the voice is and helping me to embrace it. •
Om namah Shivaya. It is a salutation to Shiva, one of the three primary deities of Hinduism, and literally translates to “I bow to Shiva.” Om namah Shivaya is also known as the five syllable mantra, as it has five syllables which are preceded by the Om (or Aum). Among other things, these five syllables represent the five elements of earth, water, fire, air and space.
In yoga, this mantra is chanted during meditation in order to help realize the inner Self and possesses the qualities of prayer, divine love, grace, truth and blissfulness.
