To mark my return to PIANO PIANO tomorrow I needed to post these pictures up to express my love for this restaurant
On my quest to find the best italian restaurant that serves the best pasta in the city of toronto I have been blessed to stumble upon PIANO PIANO. I do not exaggerate when I say that this place is one of the best places or maybe even the best italian restaurant in the city (according to my taste buds pls don’t hate me). I recommend the cheese bread (first picture) and their ravioli; unfortunately no picture for that one bc ahem someone ate too fast.. Take advantage of their appetizer option for the pasta dishes. This is a good way to be able to sample more and not get overly stuffed or for those watching their weight you can still enjoy your pasta without worry. I would say skip on their desserts it’s just not their strongest suit but that’s okay love them regardless. I am looking forwards to my next dining experience with PIANO PIANO

tea is the best company when you got a lot of work to do
icha tea has quickly become my study spot. Spacious, lots of table, simple asian inspired decor and the soft chinese classical instrumental music in the bg... makes this a comfortable place to get working!
Their teas are superb. They have unique range of tea for your milk tea drinks such as rose and chrysanthemum teas. The tea is seeped and made right in front of you. My favourite has to be the rose dian tea. They also offer a soy milk option for your bbt and that’s good news for someone lactose intolerant but completely addicted to bubbletea like I AM 😌
Their selection of cake is also very abundant and each and every one of them compliments the teas they offer as a dine in option. The teas are all served in these little asian tea sets as seen in the photo above. The cake surprisingly really brings out the flavours of the tea and I recommend u taking a bite of the cake first and then taking a sip of tea to wash down the last bit of cake! It’s really good trust! Icha tea is a place I highly recommend.

my go to thai dish is ALWAYS pad thai so it’s no surprise that in my first night in Quebec I decided to try a thai restaurant across from my hotel lol
this place reminds me of thai express and although thai express is a bit far away from real thai cuisine i love it anyways and that was what i was expecting from @thaizone.ca . It has a similar style to thai express.. fast thai food and it’s great after being in a car for 9 hours lmao it was good and easy for a party of 20, the staff was helpful and friendly esp bc of the lack of french haha but be warned this is not an authentic thai restaurant and the food was only okay i prefer thai express but that could be pure biases lol whoops my bad .

If I had to decide what i wanted as my last meal EVER it would probably be pasta lol
I was first drawn to Sugo bc of the dispute they had with another italian restaurant ahem terroni.. haha and tbh sugo did not disappoint. Their portions are huge you have been warned. I def recommend sharing here!! Check out their instagram too before you just to see what their dinner special is. The menu is simple but I always look forwards to seeing their specials on ig before deciding if i want to make my way there. Pictured here is their lasagna special which is 2LBS of pure cheese sauce and pasta and it was heavenly. Although no photographed i HIGHLY recommend their mozza sticks and garlic bread! They really pair well w the pasta dishes and taste AMAZING on their own 😩 Sugo gives off this “going to your italian friends house for dinner” vibe. Everyone was super friendly and often came by to talk you and check up on you! The atmosphere of great 👍 I would def say this is a must try spot in the toronto food scene!

Warning: Pls bite into the taiyaki w care pants will be ruined if not careful ⚠️⚠️⚠️
The colder the weather the more I want ice cream! I’m like a winter ice cream person more than a summer and ice cream kind of person. The ice cream here was cute instagram worthy and really good! I like the taiyaki too but unfortunately when i took a bite it exploded and went all over my pants lol. 😅 Does Taiyaki live up to its hype? The answer would be yes. Should you get the unicorn one for the gram? The answer again is also yes 🦄 .

Even when travelling I have to go look for the city’s go to bubbletea spot haha
Came here bc i was researching about what i should i eat while i was in mtl! I saw so many post about @gazomtl on instagram i decided to drop by to get my bubble tea fix. To my surprise they also serve nitrogen ice cream here 😱 If you ever go to montreal drop by Gazo Bubbletea. They can’t be found in Toronto and it’s a nice change from places such as chatime & coco all over the GTA.
While looking for a place to hide from the rain we happened to stumble across this cafe.. .
This cafe has all the essentials teas, coffees, salads and sandwiches. The sandwich/panini was hearty and warm which was perf in my situation bc i was cold from being caught in the rain. The cafe was spacious and chic. I noticed quite a few business meetings happening here. When you’re travelling and tired sometimes a basic cafe is what you need and this place does it right. Familiarity is not a bad thing when ur cold and tired and ur feet hurts from exploring the city. The sandwiches were delicious and a few notches up from ur basic pb&j. All in all this place is convenient if you’re a tourist as it is right next to many tourist attractions; and when ur worn out sometimes it’s quick and delicious > finding something exotic and adventurous if that makes any sense haha

chicken + beer = v happy v drunk and v full .
Mymy chicken is THE spot for chicken and beer. tbh i haven’t found a place that does it better than mymy. I don’t even like waiting in line for food yet i would wait for their chicken any day. Def recommend their seasoned spicy chicken cannot be beat and beer I say if ur adventurous try KLOUD. It’s hard to find but it’s so good!! .

cheese pizza and carbonara 🤤 my nightly cravings .
tbh this wasn’t the greatest carbonara ever and neither was the cheese pizza but the view from our seat and the atmosphere was pleasant 📍89 rue de la Commune est
This restaurant is attached to the hotel I stayed in while I was in Quebec. Travelling long distances and with children was exhausting so we dined @ the Batifol Bar & Grill for convenience without much expectation. To everyone’s delight the food was delicious although the menu was simple. I do prefer the apps > the main course. The meatball was just a touch dry for me. But it was still a great dining experience. Is it a must try? No. However, that does not make it a bad restaurant either.
Brunch in Quebec City.
10/10 will be back just for their patio.
After a long study session consisting of just eating junk this was a satisfying way to end the night ☺️ I think the secret to this is the sauce even though it’s just soy sauce and the spicy chili one it really made the dish for me. On the other hand the popcorn chicken was pretty good too. Served with sweet and sour sauce the popcorn chicken had the perfect crunch to them. I would recommend this place for late tiring nights when you just want to have a meal without thinking too much (their menu is small and to the point). This place also has wifi so u can def try and get some work done here 😁 | 📍388 Spadina Ave
