#FocusStacking works by manually combining several images shot at different focus distances into a single image. A rather tedious task, but one that’s now streamlined by Nikon’s latest FX-format camera.
The latest #D850 comes equipped with a focus shift function feature that automatically captures shots at a user-specified interval, while shifting the focus distance spontaneously to accurately and sharply capture photos with a range of depth of field – a function that is especially helpful with #landscape and #macro#photography. We aim to constantly evolve our technology to help simplify and enhance your work processes.

@globetravelphotography had seen many photographs of the #GrimesCanyonRoad, but it was always something he wanted to capture with his own composition style. With his #D750 and the AF-S #NIKKOR 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5G ED, he chose to take multiple #longexposure shots of the passing vehicles as they snaked through the heart of Moorpark, #California. The result was an alluring trail of light making its way through a breathtaking landscape.

Today is Shark Awareness Day, a chance to celebrate these magnificent and misunderstood creatures. A combination of misinformed hysteria and the unethical desire for their fins and teeth, means sharks are killed in great numbers. We need to do more to protect beautiful specimens like this Black-tipped Reef Shark.

Nagarhole National Park is located in Southern #India. Although known as one of India’s premier Tiger Reserves, photographer @shaazjung managed to spot a black panther during his visit. After finishing its meal, the panther made its way to the water to quench its thirst. This is where Shaaz captured this striking photo with the subject’s chilling gaze as the focal point of the composition.

@eve.kristanti was not feeling hopeful when she boarded a train from Zermatt, as the weather at her destination, #Gornergrat, was forecasted as cold and gloomy. Despite this, Evelina decided to take a chance and carefully trekked up the slippery path. As she reached the upper vantage point, she got lucky as the clouds cleared and she was greeted with this awe-inspiring view of the famous #Matterhorn. An excellent reward in return for a leap of faith.
