Shout out to these fusion athletes and coaches who braved the weather tonight, all in the name of ' dryland training'. They tried to stay out of the rain, by hiding under the dragon boat trailor. Everyone still got soaked but the rain did eventually stop and everyone was able to proceed with an energetic workout. #fusion#work#progress#drylandtraining
Hope all the fathers and grandfathers had a great day ! Thank you for all that you do to support our athletes!
Coach Jay had some great fun today with staff from @fitquestinc and some members of the Men's National Team at VNL Physical Literacy Day. The day had students from across the region come and put their athleticism to the test.
I can not speak higher of the great leadership at Fitquest and their emphasis on developing strong athleticism.

THIS CLASS OF 2018:
When I started coaching Club I did not know what to expect. I was excited about being back on the court and still doing what I love, having a chance to impact the lives of young players. I had no idea about the wonderful ride I was about to embark on. In coaching we usually describe what we do in parts and so I will focus on 2 of the more important ones.
First the less significant one: This team started ranked around 49th in the Province about 3 years ago. This season we stayed around top 10 for most of it and finished about top 14 after Provincials. This was one of the largest jump for a club team in the Province in quite a while. They worked extremely hard and made huge strides with every season that passed. Their on court success drew the attention of University coaches and now at least 4 of them have committed to play Volleyball at the next level.
Second the more significant one: These players started as individuals on the same team, but finished as a tight unit playing well together and learning how to trust their teammates, solving problems as one and making sure to keep any drama away from achieving their goals. Holding true to what we talked about - that individually we may be vulnerable, but collectively we are Formidable!! Seeing each player grow in confidence with an increasing drive to succeed in whatever they did and doing this at the same time in the context of teamwork was truly awesome to see.
As they head on to their next stage in life, I am so happy and blessed to have had a chance to coach them. I know that without a doubt they will stand strong against anything and succeed in whatever they set out to do.
Every team I have been part of coaching has a special place in my heart and these wonderful young women just joined them. Thank you once again team!
As our 2017-18 club season comes to an official close, we would like to take this opportunity one last time to congratulate our student athletes who will be continuing their volleyball at the university level in the fall. We will watch each of you, as you progress with your respective teams. Well done recruits! #EarnedNotGiven#AthleteB4Player#Fusion#Work#Progress#usportsca 🏐🎉
A great evening out with our graduating Fusion Athletes and their coaches. Good luck to all next year! #FusionFamily 🏐
