Training the Elbow Flexors and Extensors, or better known as Bi’s and Tri’s. Here are 5 reasons why direct arm training should not be neglected in your Strength & Conditioning program. 1. Stronger arms will lead to better numbers in your compound lifts. (Bench press, oh BB press etc...) 2. Stronger arms lead to a stronger grip, and improve full body strength capacity. 3. Direct arm training helps improve shoulder and elbow joint stability. 4. Direct arm training can help produce a protective mechanism. (Prevention of bicep/tricep tears and elbow pain.) 5. No one likes small arms, so get your party pump on! http://www.psccoaching.com.au/ @renee_squadgym_co #psccoaching #health #fitness #goals #strengthandconditioning #strengthcoach #structuralbalance #personaltrainer #fitnessfirstbondstreet #nutrition #olympicweightlifting #powerlifting #weightlifting #nike #crossfit #onlineprogramming #sumodeadlift #deadlift #onlinecoaching #movement #rehab #transformation #squat #directarmtraining #arms #elbowflexor #elbowextensor

A strong lesson learn’t as a coach. What may work for you, may not work for your clients. Don’t push your values and goals into the way of training clients. Stick to the principles and apply what is needed to meet the needs and goals of a client. A perfect example of this is the conventional deadlift. Assess, don’t GUESS and regress to a hip hinge variation that accommodates the mechanics of the individual presented in front of you. http://www.psccoaching.com.au/ @renee_squadgym_co #psccoaching #health #fitness #goals #strengthandconditioning #strengthcoach #structuralbalance #personaltrainer #fitnessfirstbondstreet #nutrition #olympicweightlifting #powerlifting #weightlifting #nike #crossfit #onlineprogramming #sumodeadlift #deadlift #onlinecoaching #movement #rehab #transformation #squat #correctprescription

If you are facing pain whilst incline bench pressing, it maybe due to the fact that having the shoulders pinned down against a bench limits the ability to freely, upwardly rotate the scapular. Dual land mine presses are a great exercise for so many reasons, I see this exercise as a hybrid of horizontal and vertical pressing. I have been utilising this exercise with my clients now for a while and I have seen a lot of improvement towards pain free over head pressing and the ability to control their trunks, resisting extension and rotation. http://www.psccoaching.com.au/ @renee_squadgym_co #psccoaching #health #fitness #goals #strengthandconditioning #strengthcoach #structuralbalance #personaltrainer #fitnessfirstbondstreet #nutrition #olympicweightlifting #powerlifting #weightlifting #nike #crossfit #onlineprogramming #sumodeadlift #deadlift #onlinecoaching #movement #rehab #transformation #squat #landminepress

Strong Pull, Move Fast! Olympic lifting “Speed strength”is the ability of the neuromuscular system to produce the greatest possible impulse, in the shortest possible time. Basically move weight or a barbell as fast as possible. Learning Olympic lifting is such a great skill to learn and is quite fun trying to perfect. Not only is it an impressive skill to have but it adds another dimension to your training. As an Olympic lifting coach, I am able to add a larger variety of exercise prescription to my clients programming. In order to learn Olympic lifting effectively, you must place emphasis on the following: building structural balance, relative strength, absolute strength, motor control and lastly the ability to apply force fast. Learning the fundamentals under a watchful eye and experienced coach is imperative in such a skill and technique based sport. http://www.psccoaching.com.au/ @renee_squadgym_co #psccoaching #health #fitness #goals #strengthandconditioning #strengthcoach #structuralbalance #personaltrainer #fitnessfirstbondstreet #nutrition #olympicweightlifting #powerlifting #weightlifting #nike #crossfit #onlineprogramming #sumodeadlift #deadlift #onlinecoaching #movement #rehab #transformation #squat #powerclean #snatch #cleanandjerk #powersnatch
