Good morning🌞 Here’s my morning coffee view. Hugelkultur beds with medical, veggies, and the last one is a flower bed that hasn’t yet sprouted. My first goal was to make this garden as cost & labor efficient as possible. My cost goal for medical is below $25/pd. for nutrients & compost tea ingredients (while growing gorgeous dank buds). 2nd goal- Organic, no synthetics, no bottled nutrients, using no pesticides 3rd- leaving lots of time for my artwork. No monster plants this time! And, time & ease because I’m getting married next month. I’m hoping the flower bed is ready by then! So far, soo good. 💚🌱💚 Can you spot the “tops” of these cannabis plants? #lightdep#sog#livingsoil#hugelkultur#sungrown#soilfoodweb#supercropping#topping#lst
Swipe to see what she looked like 14 days ago. Sweetie volunteer is getting planted in the ground today.🌱💚
Just a few cuts this beautiful morning.💚🌱I’m going to let these babes rest in a dark room for a bit...They’ll all perk right up🌿❤️ #propagation#wocincannabis
My Jamie Joseph ring brings beauty to my life everyday and reminds me to surround myself with things and people that uplift and inspire me. #jjpowerstory@jamiejoseph1
Do you notice the adorable little spiral? This is a result of new growth pushing the begining of flower but then being like “ sike! never mind!! Imma gonna go ahead & grow a leaf” (and continue vegging). I am going to flip(initiate flowering) in a couple of days, so I’m not worried about them not getting enough direct sunlight in their cycle. Even a one cloudy day can cause this. Too cute tho.
I was cleaning the bottoms of plants a few weeks ago and decided to use the best cuttings instead of tossing them. I used honey 🍯 as a dip solution/rooting hormone. They rooted and are looking pretty good. Outside this morning adjusting to some indirect sunlight.
I’ve have just started reading Growing Vegetables West of the Cascades after several recommendations. I’m a few pages in and already feeling excited. There is a ton of really useful information and it’s really well written. There’s a little metaphyical and lots of story telling. What a special book.🌱💚🌱
I made a kelp extract this morning. Foliar feeding is super important and very satisfying. I’m always sure to add warm water to the tank so that the plants enjoy a comfortable temperature and I spray during that dewy time in the morning while they are already wet and in the process of taking in nutrients naturally. And, always focusing on the back (underside) of the leaves where the stomates are. 🌱💚
Picked up some bales of rice straw from Takubeh in Williams today. Covered hugelkulture beds. Straw protects and supports soil life, hinders water evaporation, protects roots from cold nights and super hot days...❤️ and, rice straw has no weed seeds! Also, after harvest the straw will winterize the beds (protects the soil from extreme cold, erosion & compaction). So, thank you Northern California rice cultivators and Takubeh💚 #livingsoil#regenerativeagriculture#cannabiscommunity#southernoregon#pnw
