Thank you, so much, @sterlingrope for the amazing #Sterling25 swag! Being a New Englander means supporting other New England based companies. Sterling ropes are phenomenal and I am lucky enough to have a new tarp and rope bag to match as well as an amazing tank to wear while I crush.
Thank you, again, @sterlingrope! #boulderingisdumb
At the end of my climbing last night, I went up to the weight area to see where I was at with pullups. Late April was the first time in my life that I could do even one but then getting tendonitis in my wrist meant I stopped targeting them. My wrist feels strong enough to start up again, but that begins with some strengthening exercises for my left shoulder. As a kid, it always used to pop out and as a climber, the only thing I've done to strengthen it was fully engage my back while working my hanging exercises. As you can see in the video, even trying to stay super focused and even, my shoulders active at different times and my right shoulder overcompensates during every pull-up. Luckily I was able to chat with a rehab specialist to get some safe exercises to start using. #progresshereIcome#pullups#climberproblems#climbertraining#climberlife
Thank you, @rockclimbingwomen, for my sticker to add to my water bottle! As a queer woman of color, I don't feel like there are many spaces meant for me. I stand so strongly behind their amazing message, bad-ass women doing bad-ass adventure shit. Give these incredible women a follow. #rockclimbing#girlswhoclimbrocks#rockclimbingwomen
