Hey, everyone! I thought it would be wise to make an introduction post, so here goes nothing. Buckle up, y’all, because this is going to be long. I’m Ciara, the creator of this page. I am a wife and mama of two littles (see picture above), a certified lactation counselor, lab technician at my local milk bank, Baby Café facilitator, a maid (slightly kidding), and a pre-nursing student. I have been on this pre-nursing journey for FIVE years. A marriage, babies, getting my first degree, a military ETS, not-so-perfect grades, and retaking classes all played a role in why it has taken me so long to apply to a nursing program. I’m so excited to be pursuing this incredible career again and want to document it all. All too often, I see people post only their highlight reels, meaning, they only post the GOOD. My hope for this page is that you all see an imperfect, and most importantly, a transparent human who is still struggling on and pursuing her passion despite adversity. I want this page to serve as a reminder that YOU can do hard things, and that YOU can be a mom, wife, or full-time employee and still pursue your passion(s) whatever that may be. I’m so excited to once again be on the journey to nursing school. My end goal is to become a labor and delivery nurse and an IBCLC. I have only a few more classes to go before I apply to my dream program in February! I’m so excited ☺️ .
