I know there’s many born again children of God that visit this site. My goal with this site is two fold. One, to present a clear simple gospel of salvation that unbelievers can understand and hopefully want to trust Jesus Christ as their savior. Secondly, to challenge those who know Jesus as their savior to serve Him and use your life and talents to reach those who don’t know Him. But to do that, I want to present some logical common sense truth that you will have to think about between you and our savior. What are you, as a child of God, living for? What do you value most? What are you doing about it? What are you willing to sacrifice to accomplish it? Are you living each day with eternity’s values in mind? You are either living for now and yourself, or you are using the things of now to focus on eternity. Which does God counsel us to do? In Matthew 6:19-20, Jesus cautions us to not lay up treasures on earth because they don’t last. Lay up treasures in heaven where nothing can destroy them and will be waiting for you to enjoy forever when you get to heaven. I’m not talking about making a living so you can provide for your family and pay your bills. It’s not wrong to have treasures, but are they excessive and where are you storing them, Earth or heaven. In this same chapter Jesus teaches how God will supply our daily needs. He says in verse 33 that we should seek the kingdom of God and everything else will be taken care of by our Heavenly Father. A wealthy Christian lady spent her time and wealth on herself. She had a dream of being in heaven. She saw a large , lovely home. She was told that it was her gardeners. To her surprise, her home was only a small cottage. When she asked the angel why the difference, he said, “ We did our best with the materials you sent up”. God can only store up what we send ahead! What are your treasures? Where is your heart about treasures? Are you going to have anything of value to present to Jesus Christ when you get there? If not, it’s never to late to make corrections and get started doing it God’s way! This world is passing away, eternity is forever.
