And a big week for me and comics too. Not only did the new issues of the and come out, debuted. This Avengers run is good, but I’m waiting for something to HAPPEN. It’s gonna be something big, I can feel it. Will it be part of the ? But I mean, with everything else Jason is writing, I’d actually be pretty happy with another issue of a Thor/She-Hulk date.
While you barely see Thor in the new issue, it was cool to get to see melt a frost giant. Are Thor and Jennifer just off “training” constantly now or are they actually up to something? Where the hell are they in these issues? Are we somehow gonna get a green half-Asgardian baby?
But that new Conan. On man. I watched the live action show as a kid along with Xena and all that barbarian stuff that was popular, so I was super excited when I found out Jason Aaron was doing the new run. It’s the first time in like 25 years the character has been back in comics, so it’s a big one. Plus I mean he’s basically just a Viking Tarzan set in a world of magic, so what’s not to love? I think it will be a good holdover until Game of Thrones is back. I need my bloody medieval fun.
I’ve been meaning to read some Daredevil for a while, so when I saw a new limited series by out, I started there. Bad idea. Don’t get me wrong, it is good, but if you’re not a pretty dedicated Daredevil fan, I think most people would find it confusing and hard to enjoy. I’ve never read anything Daredevil-related previous to this, but I’m pretty familiar with the character, so I at least understand what’s going on. It was just a really bizarre starting place.
Finally for this week, I started , another new limited series by about the group of mercenaries that followed Thanos. I’m pretty unfamiliar with the characters, is the only one I recognize, but I like bad guys in the spotlight and I’m digging this chick. I have no idea what to say over this series, other than I’m loving ’s art and I can’t wait until the whole series is released so I can finish it.
