🇦🇫 "Camera is my weapon." Reaching the 200. post, I would like to share with you a special photo, from behind the scenes or camera. I deliberetaly haven't shared personal photos so far - and it will be the same. My intention is to show the audience through my photos our wonderful and colourful world as it is rather than my personal life.
However, in some cases capturing a scene, a moment, a landscape or taking a close portrait is extremely difficult or a big challenge. My trip to Afghanistan and taking photos there was like this. Because of the circumstances, that we all might know about.
Afghanistan have been on my bucket list for many years - as well as to return from there. I always wanted to know what are beyond the news and headlines. Eventually I wasn't disappointed: I have discovered an incredible Afghanistan, which is mostly not covered by the media. Nevertheless to reach this goal, I had to make some compromises. In order to feel and stay safe throughout the journey, we had armed guards. Furthermore I had to obey to the strict security orders, which was really difficult and adventurous at the same time.
At first sight, this photo might seem a bit scary and raise the question: "Why I am posing with those guys?" Because those fantastic and very friendly guys helped me in many situation to capture the moments safely and I am very grateful to them. As well as to my great friend, @, who made this dream real.
As the 200. post in my album, I truly hope that this photo perceives you that in some cases, there are more people behind capturing a moment than a lonely photographer. Indeed, it is a team work - when everyone uses his own weapon.
