Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama is an American writer, lawyer, and university administrator who served as the First Lady of the United States from 2009 to 2017. She is married to the 44th U.S. President, Barack Obama, and was the first African-American First Lady.

In May 2018, Michelle and Barack Obama announced that they signed a multi-year deal to produce series and films for Netflix. Michelle's memoir, Becoming was released late last year. The book talks about her roots and how she found her voice, as well as her time in the White House, her public health campaign, and her role as a mother.
