This timed drill, the 5-10-5, is one we use here at SPECTRUM to assess an athlete’s agility.
Here are a couple of things we look for...
✅ Did they breakdown into a proper base position to change directions?
✅How many yards did it take them to break down?
✅Did they maintain good posture through their change of direction?
✅How long did it take them to reaccelerate the opposite direction?
✅Were they faster performing the test one way vs the other?
