Ce mois ci, le thème de mes cours est Ahimsa. Il signifie “ne pas blesser”, dans le sens d’éviter la violence à tous les niveaux : physique, verbal et émotionnel. • Et concrètement on le travaille comment ? Comme chaque principe, c’est en travaillant sur soi que l’on peut ensuite travailler notre interaction avec les autres. C’est en apprenant à être non violent envers soi même qu’on peut arrêter de l’être avec les autres. • Et dans la pratique, cela se passe comment ? Dans un premier temps on recherche les moments où on se fait violence. Cela peut être physiquement, en venant ouvrir une partie de notre corps qui n’est pas prête. Le yoga n’est pas une compétition et ne demande aucune perfection; apprendre à pratiquer de façon détaché n’est pas facile. Cela peut être mentalement, dans un cours, et notamment les premiers cours, on passe beaucoup de temps à se juger et à se comparer. Le plus important c’est de prendre conscience de cela. Ne pas chercher à le changer mais observer à quel moment on se fait violence. Et alors, le changement viendra petit à petit. La pratique du yoga nous permet d’évacuer ces pensées, ces tensions pour les transformer en bienveillance. Et je peux vous dire, ok il faut de la pratique, du temps, de la patience, mais il faut garder confiance : ça marche !

I mean, I know yoga progress pics are cool and all- but I’m pretty sure this #TRANSFORMATIONTUESDAY is the best thing I’ve ever seen. If you haven’t virtually met this little man already, then say hello to Crusty. I found him during @Kindredconnection’s spay/neuter clinic in Siargao last month. He was hobbling down the street in the rain- only able to walk on 3 legs because he’d clearly been hit by a car or bike & not able to see a thing because his eyes were glued shut with infection. With barely any fur & suffering severe malnutrition- I could see just about every bone in his tiny little body. Still, despite neglect, mistreatment & abuse- he let me scoop him up without even an ounce of resistance. I wrapped him in a warm towel & he slept for the next 24 hours. Just a few hours later, we found two of Crusty’s brothers dead. The neighbors told us that they had just died the night before. Although it was devastating to know that we were only a few hours too late to save them, it was also encouraging to witness Crusty’s perseverance to survive right off the bat. He was a fighter. Since then, I’ve been posting his progress on my stories. I get a lot of messages from people telling me that I’m an angel for saving him. But the truth is- HE’S actually the one who saved me during a very difficult time. Looking at Crusty’s photos, you can really see his outward transformation. What you can’t see is that his physical changes mirror my internal progress over the last few months, as well. And because of this, I can quite literally say that he really IS my heart 💚 #KindredConnection

Halm- och höbrist i torkans spår På grund av den extremt varma och torra sommaren så blev det en ovanligt mager höskörd och vår vanliga tillgång på halm fanns plötsligt inte alls. Vi har letat med ljus och lykta efter möjligheter att köpa halm, men efterfrågan och utbud styr ju priserna som nu plötsligt blivit mångdubblade. Som tur var fick vi plötsligt kontakt med en gård på Mörkö som hade halm till överkomligt pris. Det är ändå en ovanligt stor utgift för oss eftersom de behövde fraktas med traktor en bra bit och vi fick anlita en grannbonde som trots att han just då hade ett mycket hektiskt schema, var snäll och hjälpte oss. Vi skulle därför vara ytterst tacksamma för donationer för detta syfte. Halmen används både som foder och för kornas djupströbäddar. Vi har nu swish-nummer: 123 680 0841 och även SEB kontonr: 53541033630. Vårt bankgironummer är 587-7329. En halmbal kostar 370:-/styck (inkl.moms) och vi köpte närmare 30 stycken. Vi kommer att behöva köpa in tio balar till för att täcka behovet under vintern. Vi vill också varmt tacka vår Almviks bagerska, Srivatsa devi dasi, som sponsrat 10 stycken halmbalar med 3750 kr och Sraddha devi dasi som på eget initiativ gått ut och samlat in pengar till halm!  Men alla bidrag, stora som små, uppskattas varmt! “Ero ormai prigioniera da più di un anno, operaia schiava nella fabbrica di munizioni Union, quando improvvisamente ,verso il 20 di gennaio del 45, cominciammo a vedere un nervosismo generale, sentimmo rumore di aerei sopra di noi...qualcosa stava cambiando. Era una marcia in cui non si poteva cadere, non si poteva rimanere lì. Che chi cadeva veniva finito con una fucilata alla testa dalle guardie della scorta... Poi arriva improvvisamente questa notizia incredibile e ti trovi su una nuova strada tedesca nel nord della Germania e cammini senza sapere come farai a stare ancora in piedi...quando vedi in torno a te le guardie cambiare completamente atteggiamento. Quelli che avevano diritto di vita e di morte su di te,fino a quel minuto, si spogliano, si mettono in borghese, mandano via i cani...hanno quasi paura di te! Ed io, una ragazzina di 14 anni, che aveva visto, sentito, sofferto, odiato, pensato per così tanto tempo di vendicarsi...ecco che vedo il comandante di quell’ultimo campo...un uomo feroce, un uomo che bastonava, che umiliava queste povere donne colpevoli solo di essere nate ebree...che si spogliava e si vestiva in borghese e tornava a casa dai suoi bambini e non era successo niente. Lentil curry for breakfast - why not 🤷‍♀️ not long until our trip to India so I’m increasing my spice and chilli tolerance! Good job I ❤️ spice and chilli! 🌶 🌶 It’s been soooo easy switching to a predominantly vegan diet and I didn’t go from veggie to vegan... I went from meat lover and dairy addict to vegan! I am about 90% vegan now and have not felt this well in my body for a looooong time. I don’t know why I feel so good and I’m breaking all the old rules I had...I have a high carb diet and considerably less protein- although I still get lots of protein... I’m eating way beyond recommended avocado and nut portion a day, and guess what... I’m not gaining weight and I feel amazing! Why would I give up something that makes me feel so great and is better for the environment?! Fear is a natural reaction to moving closer to the truth. If we commit ourselves to staying right where we are, then our experience becomes very vivid. Things become very clear when there’s nowhere to escape. What we’re talking about is getting to know fear, becoming familiar with fear, looking it right in the eye-not as a way to solve problems, but as a complete undoing of old ways of seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, and thinking. The truth is that when we really begin to do this, we’re going to be continually humbled. There’s not going to be much room for the arrogance that holding on to ideals can bring.
