Amer Fort located in Amer, Rajasthan, India and it is the principal tourist attraction in Jaipur.
The entire fort is constructed of red sandstone and marble and the magnificent palace is divided in four levels, each with a courtyard.
The palace of the Kachawa dynasty of the Rajputana is breathtakingly beautiful but what struck me was how amazingly it has been engineered with Natural heating and cooling systems, lighting systems, security system etc. The fascinating architectural blend of Hindu and Persian architecture is again a sight to behold with the dyed paintings, gold carvings, fresco paintings, arched doorways, and domed terraces. Perched on a hill top and has its strategic military Jaigarh Fort connected with subterranean passages for emergencies.
Day started with a bumpy and rocky Ride with Kajal, our elephant. My first time ever elephant ride. And post the nice tour of the fort it ended with a wonderful cheese omelette at Stag Cafe which also offers the best view of the entire fort.
