The WOW Flower Project is a 501c3 non Profit that WOW's youth.
We focus on educational outings and cultural activities. Last years activities included farm science, gardening, STEM, community service, cultural events, sports games, public speaking, cooking & etiquette classes.
I'm writing today because I would love for you too share the event with your students. It free to participate. The event the WOW is hosting is a music & Art showcase. The planners are a group of ladies from Lancaster HS, Littlerock HS and Highland HS and 2 Junior high in the Palmdale School District.
The event came about in discussion of how music saves their lives. The Antelope Valley has the highest suicide rate of all of LA County and we are using the workshop as a tool of expression.
The students can preform a 2 min Dance, musical piece or song. We will also encourage youth to have their art on display and even sell the pieces. We want to give them a platform to soar and express their creativity abilities. The application is in the links below.
If you have any question or would like to volunteer. Please feel free to contact me via email or my number is 661.202-4484.
We will have Art, Dance, Music, Poetry and journaling session for students to participate in durning the afternoon sessions.
Thanks again and the event is hosted by: The WOW Flower Project & sponsored by: CalMHSA- Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health
