So, here it is guys! The recipe for my Fire Tonic as I like to call it. The quantities are approximate, as I eye measure along the way. Feel free to play with the recipe and adjust it to suit you. I try to use as many local ingredients as possible, but I compromise this rule for ginger and turmeric roots’ sake. I just can’t imagine #firecider without these two, but if you want to skip those, again feel free. In general, just feel free and do as you like 😊 The recipe below is just for rough guidance and to inspire your own imagination and creativity! One thing I have to insist on though, is to make sure all ingredients are organic, aka pesticide free, as this potion is essentially medicine, and you really don’t want any nasty stuff interfering in it. * * FIRE TONIC * * 2-3 onions peeled 1 garlic head peeled 1-2 handful turmeric root peeled 1-2 handful ginger root peeled 10 cayenne peppers or any other hot peppers you have available in your area, finely chopped (make sure you are wearing gloves for this and don’t touch your face- I speak from experience ;) ) 1 cinnamon stick 2 lemons sliced 1 orange sliced 2 handfuls of finely chopped fresh herbs ( oregano, marjoram, thyme, rosemary, sage, nettle, parsley, cilantro, calendula) If you don’t have any fresh herbs, don’t worry about it. If you want to use some favourite dried plant, then go for it! Just place everything in a glass jar, and fill with apple cider vinegar till the top of the jar- make sure that no pieces are floating on top, because they might get mouldy. Place the lid on the jar (if it’s a metallic lid then better place a piece of parchment paper between the jar and the lid). Place in a cupboard for 4-6 weeks, and occasionally take it out to give it a shake. When you decide its ready, use a clean cloth to strain in- squeeze well. Mix the liquid with honey-I really can’t tell you how much honey to add, it depends on how you like it, just taste and add accordingly but the minimum I would go for would be 1 part honey to 4 parts liquid. That’s it! Bottle it and share it with friends and family and use it within a year. Enjoy making your own immune booster🔥 #fireciderrecipe
