My name is Breanna Lokers, those close to me call me Bree. I am a mother of 3, I love Jesus, and I am no where near perfect.
I am here, sharing my life with you everyday because I want everyone to know that, no matter what your goal is, you can achieve it.
Every so often I share my story. Here it is:
Broken, tired, and lost, I dealt with severe post partum depression after my second daughter was born in 2011. In conjunction, I had chronic migraines that brought me to the edge of suicide. Most people didn’t believe me because I’ve always been a happy person. But life can get to even the happiest of people.
We moved from Orange County to Temecula to be closer to family, and once I got situated, I found a group of women that introduced me to the gym.
January of 2015 I began hitting the gym hard. I don’t know where it came from, but something switched in my mindset. I had lived in my bed for 2 1/2 years with such severe pain and depression and I refused to live another day like that.
Slowly, but surely, I noticed I was smiling again. My migraines became fewer and farther in between. I finally felt alive.
I was scared to share my story due to fear of judgment. But I ended up opening up to a lady at church and she wept and told me she felt like she was the only one.
From that moment I decided to live my life sharing my story, to empower women and inspire them. My hope and prayer is that it can serve as a light to whatever you are going through.
I use Fitness because it’s an amazing way to find yourself out of some of life’s most darkest days. It has scientific evidence to aiding in a lot of mental, physical, and spiritual ailments.
