This is my focus face. Went outside of my comfort zone and did an entire workout commitment towards legs tonight. I will say, I applaud all these ladies I see doing leg workouts. It's not as easy as you make it look. All I can really say is that I definitely will be feeling it in the morning or later in the evening. I really enjoyed it and pushed myself. 2 months transformation Restarted my workouts after back to back injuries. Always have the patience to bounce back. Love your body. Be proud of a little progression. You are way ahead of people who don't even move their ass from the couch. Some people look better cut from outside. Only they will know about their health condition. Issues like stomach ache, gastritis etc are common with the ones taking whey protein. Make a healthy switch to vegan protein. Personally feeling much better. Zero issues.!! Started of with Doing regular dips, then once we got better at it, we started getting some stability work in by doing the dips on rings, then added band to the same movement to get more quicker in contraction and now getting some plyometric effect on the same . Trying to work on stretch shortening cycle. Reducing the amortisation ( time between eccentric to concentric ). The lesser the amortisation the faster you get and that exactly is what makes your speed go up. We built the dips from the base of pyramid and moved up. RECOVERY IS AS IMPORTANT AS EXCERCISE! I had the opportunity to get my hands on the best recovery system! I’m sure it’s not easy for everybody so I thought I’ll give some alternative methods! Cryotherapy —> Ice bath Normatec recovery —> foam roller You can avoid soreness by warming up and cooling down. I would suggest to go for body work/massage atleast two weeks once. Box jump from sitting: eliminate the stretch-reflex to focus on concentric lower body power ✅⬆️ •••• Box jumps are an excellent exercise for lower body power development, whether you play a sport involving jumps or not. The triple-extension of the ankle, knee and hip is transferrable to several athletic movements, such as sprinting, jumping, throwing or punching. •••• This variation removes most of the stretch-reflex which would normally help you “load” before the jump, as you can do from a standing start. •••• ⚠️ For practice, try simply jumping vertically from the seated position before attempting to jump to a box ⚠️ •••• - sit on a box or bench ~1 metre from another box or bench - ensure feet are hip-width apart with the soles flat on the floor - in one movement, push firmly through the balls of your feet, jumping as high as required, bringing the knees up as far as your box height dictates - land both feet flat on the box surface, ensuring the whole foot makes it onto the box (no heels hanging off!) - where possible, land into a quarter or half squat position to absorb the landing force, then stand up tall •••• ❗️Aim to land creating as little sound as possible for a good indication of controlled landing ❗️ •••• Make this harder by adding box height, or easier by reduce box height.
