I loved meeting Faltma (sp?) in her traditional Berber family home. I didn't speak any Berber and she didn't speak any English but I quickly got a sense of her character. 100 years old with great great great children! Her physical ability was admirable as she didn't mind stopping on a stool to warm her hands by the fire, or spend all day picking olives or hand washing clothes for the family. She had so much warmth and a good sense of humour. She made me feel very welcome despite my embarrassment that I only speak one language 🙈. The Berber women are the (often) hidden talent of Morocco. I am fascinated by their lives, artistic abilities and culture.
