Every day when I walk into the garden, this mural welcomes me. This piece of art resonates with me in a very special way. For in it I see a humble servant of the divine, I see life giving waters flowing through it's being (My Aquarian sun is familiar with this symbol as a representation of the water bearer). In this piece, I see alignment- of head, heart, and hands. You see, the mind can be a tricky thing. In many 'spiritual' context, I often hear the message to turn off the mind. While I absolutely find it beneficial to allow our monkey-minds to rest and not overthink everything, my intellectual side has a hard time embracing this to the extent it is offered. I always felt a resistance to turning off the switch completely, mostly because I think we need to use our heads to awaken and fully show up with our gifts to assist in the global healing that is so needed in these times.
What I have realized is that it's not about turning off and tuning out. It's about directing the power of our minds into alignment with our truest hearts desire. But it doesn't stop there- we must then act. We must use our hands to DO the work. It doesn't serve to only THINK about what is needed of us; it doesnt serve to only FEEL what that might be like, and it certainly doesn't serve to DO anything without intention. We must come into alignment of ALL parts of our being. This is how we show up. This is how we use our magic. This is how thrive.
Big thanks to @ for this daily reminder through your (he)artwork.
