Today was a busy and an important day. This munchkin got an MRI to check for syringomyelia and for ear problems. It turns out he has mucus in his middle ear and that removing it is very complicated. Let's hope we find a vet who can do it and that everything goes well.
We decided to do the MRI because he keeps shaking himself too much and scratching his ears and neck. They are sensitive to touch. Also when he got his vaccine to his neck area this September, it hurt really bad and he cried and was in a lot of pain for like a minute. It was so scary and shocking.
The MRI also showed signs of Chiari-like malformation and a small sign of syringomyelia. We are giving him medication for that and hopefully it is not causing him pain and discomfort.
I really hope he doesn't lose his hearing and he starts feeling better. And when we remove the mucus, I hope it doesn't come back.
