How might you know who you really are if your true self is buried under all that baggage you carry around?
Things hurt, and that’s one of the reasons why we bury them deep in our psyches under carefully-crafted facades & beliefs.
Thing is, the buried “things” wind up still eating you from the depths—and you don’t even know why you feel what you feel throughout the day, week, months or years of your life.
Claim your baggage—it isn’t always the other person/people when things go wrong.
Here’s an exercise: Create a diagram with the complete set of everything you can readily remember that stands out from your childhood & teen years; if it’s feasible, even create a collage of images, photos, objects, and whatever else to represent your adolescent years, and you may start making some interesting, surprising & revealing connections about yourself and the family from which you come.
This is where your detective skills are going to come in handy. The investigation? “Who am I, why am I, what’s eating me inside and how do I overcome it?”
